Kinda like it. It's like Alton Brown from the Good Eats days, just the bits with no cooking. It won't change your life, but it's worth a view.

Probably the best thing TrueTV ever put out!

I've watched a couple of them. I can't decide if he's more amusing or more annoying. :)

It's ok. It's pretty opinionated, and he skews a lot of his facts. I like how he quotes sources, but when your source data for how or why something is itself 25+ years old, I don't think it's quite true today.

I like it... He's the result if Alton Brown had a love child with Adam Savage.

    This.
Some of his reasoning seems specious, but I'm still watching.

I just discovered this show. I'm recording all of the reruns that are being broadcast now. This show has made fact checking very interesting.

BTW, you can find all 20 shows from season 1 on Netflix's streaming service.

I've watched all the episodes that were backed up on my Tivo. Watching one episode per week won't be as much fun.

The first episode of the new season is very interesting and very thought provoking. Definitely worth watching.

That's about all that is allowed to be said about it in this particular setting.

I noticed that Netflix has what it calls a "collection", dated 2018, with 20+ episodes .

I watched a few minutes, but I could tell it was more of the same. In previous interviews he has mentioned he doesn't always go in depth on some topics due to time, but he always seems to gloss over things that aren't true or uses old reports to back up his argument even though the studies are now out of date by newer research.

I assume the last few posters are talking about the 23rd episode of the second season which is quite the hot button issue these days.

    Except it isn't.

And your second sentence is completely misleading. He freely admits that the don't get in depth on some subjects. But the bit about glossing over dissenting evidence is simply your perception when he doesn't mirror your own beliefs.

It's actually season 3, episode 1. (Season 2 ended with the "Reanimated History" series of episodes.) And yes, that's the one I'm referencing.

Again, as a reminder to my fellow posters, we really can't discuss the content of the episode, per the site rules.

Edit: there does seem to be some debate... TruTV's website does list it as season 2 episode 23. On the other hand, TiVo lists it as season 3, episode 1, as does Wikipedia. It's been promoted on air and in press releases as part of "a new season" of Adam Ruins Everything. So.. *shrug*

That's what confused me. I watched it on the TruTV website.

That sounds Trump-like. How do you "skew" a fact? A fact is a fact, true or false.

You can say he's quoting things that have been falsified, or even that he's being *misleading* with facts.. but you can't skew a fact.

BTW, there is a podcast, that goes into more detail.. though I'm behind on that too. I've watched many episodes at a friend's house, and finally set up a OP on my own Tivo...

Though I think I'll watch it in QuickMode on my own Tivo, if I don't just let them pile up & nuke them later for space.
