Did you make some change recently that you just noticed this? It has been this way for a while. It is the first thing I noticed when going from series 3 to Roamio.

I just use an HDMI switch and I programmed my remote control shutdown sequence to switch to a different HDMI port during shutdown. This simulates pulling the HDMI cable.

You still can't watch the TV over the local HDMI and simultaneously remotely via component, but it is very rare for me to be doing this. It is usually either one or the other.

Have you been watching Cloud Atlas or something?

I think they are watching via HDMI and composite at the same time, not component, since they stated they are using an RF Modulator to send the signal from the Roamio through coax to another room.
