Part of me thinks that the guy in forever should have been killed much more often. He seemed pretty hesitant to get killed (unlike Adam). But I can also see where it could get old if used too much.

They did kill Henry regularly in the first 3-4 episodes, but very rarely thereafter.

Getting killed seemed to hurt him as much as it would anyone else... he just came back afterward. I don't think I'd be too quick to do that, myself.

Maybe after 2000 years it's not so bad. Or maybe Adam is a masochist :)

Plus, as we saw several times, crawling naked out of the East River into one of the busiest cities on Earth carries its own challenges...

I stopped watching "American Crime" after 2 eps, but I kept watching "Secrets and Lies", which ALSO was essentially a mini-series, AND RENEWED.. Very bizarre.

That wasn't really explained, was it? Does he just come back in the biggest nearby body of water? (He used to come back in England...)

Not sure what you mean by "explained". They said specifically that yes, he does reappear in the nearest large body of water. But no, they never explained why that is (of course they never explained why he comes back either).

Did they specifically say that, or is that just what we saw? (I don't remember them actually saying it...)

I am pretty sure it was explicitly said, sometime at the beginning.

Yeah, that's what I meant, I didn't remember them EXPLICITLY stating it, just that we were inferring it...

Yeah they did this with Under the Dome, and now it's going in a really, really, weird direction. Not sure I'm even going to watch this Summer. They should have stuck with the original plan to make it a mini series and just let it end like it was suppose to. Instead they had to kill off half the main characters at the start of Season 2 because they weren't contracted for a full run series.

What kind of world is it where Forever gets cancelled, and "/Scorpion" gets renewed?

I stopped watching Forever after eight or nine episodes - not enough time in my week to stay caught up on it, and not enough space on the tivo to keep a bunch of episodes for a long time - but it was fun.

I stopped watching Scorpion after 4 episodes. The quasi science they use drove me nuts.

I have the entire season of Forever sitting on my TiVo but I have not watched a single episode. Since you guys say it ended well with no major cliffhanger I may still watch it when I have some free time.

I liked the ending of Forever. Shame it won't continue.

Forever was the better of the mentioned shows - a pity they killed it ...
or ... was that the Judd Hirsch curse at work?

And yet they give another season to atrocious garbage like Extant, Tyrant, and Under the Dome ...

But what do I know, I was a big fan of New Amsterdam back in 2008 ...

Also a fan of Forever. Sigh. It's so annoying to have a show you really like cancelled. They did end it well though.

Never heard of Cristela? Resurrection is on our DVR but have almost the whole season unwatched so I guess I'll just hit delete.

I also liked American Crime although my husband didn't. But it's renewed with a new cast and a new crime. So if you didn't like the one that just aired, you might like the next one. The acting was good, with that cast, of course. But the photography was pretentious. No need to skip and jump around the way they did, I thought it was distracting. I also thought the story wasn't as fleshed out as it could be, at least with the mom. I kept wondering why people were calling her racist, her own kid too. Because she was pushing for a hate crime for her kid? That didn't make sense to me. Also hated the ending. Won't say more on that but it wasn't storyline, just editing.
