Currently I am awaiting delivery of a eBay purchased bolt and I was wondering if anyone has bought a external raid enclosure and hooked that up internally to the bolt sata port?

I was thinking a simple hardware raid 1 box with 2 - 3tb drives. The enclosures are cheap enough, just wondered if anyone has experience with doing this?

AFAIK, nobody has managed to make a RAID box work yet despite several attempts. Anything except a direct connection between the 'internal' SATA port on a Bolt and the SATA connector on a drive seems to fail, even single-drive external enclosures with a built-in eSATA port.
