All of the above?
I'm enjoying this show. Is the psychology professor played by Natalie Zea going to stick around?
It looks like it, there are articles saying she's "joined the cast" as his new love interest.
Wife and I are really enjoying it now. First ep, not so much. We like this series better than the original 911; quirky accidents to rescue.
No Natalie Zea recently...
This is the only 9-1-1 show I've ever watched (I'm not sure I've even heard of others). I started because of Rob Lowe. I think it's OK: not must-see but enjoyable distraction.
There's only 9-1-1 and Lone Star as a spinoff due to the success of 9-1-1.
9-1-1 is set to return in a couple of weeks - Lone Star was a brief 10 episode midseason thing.
It's kind of weird since 9-1-1 Lone Star shows on one channel here, while 9-1-1 is shown on another channel. I might have to change my season pass to Fox where it gets simsubbed appropriately. And at least Fox wouldn't be able to schedule both at the same time (with 9-1-1 on hiatus, the reruns are shown at the same time as 9-1-1 Lone Star...).
They got the Guadalupe St. shibboleth correct. "guadah-loop", and not the usual Spanish pronunciation "guah-dah-loo-peh" Though we usually don't say "street".
The lower part of Guadalupe forms the West border of the UTexas campus, and also goes by "The Drag".
Did they really just end the entire season like that? How annoying.
Nope. 2 more episodes, to air back-to-back next week. (S01E09 and S01E10)
OH! Thank god. I don't know why I thought this one was the last one. Thanks!
Also at the very end, I guess that was her sister in the tent?
I also figured that was the last ep until the commercial said "Next week back to back........"
I could not figure out who was in the tent, nor the timeline of that scene. Doug rule "when flipping
between timelines, visual ques are required."
I thought the tent scene was just showing where she went after the "I will never not answer a call for help" comment. But I may have just totally missed something important.
I knew the sister was there since the first time Michelle visited the tents under the bridge. The father of the little girl said he was giving his meds to a woman in a nearby tent and Michelle was starting to go check on her, when someone attacked her van with a bat. Once Michelle dealt with that and never went back to the tents I knew that the woman in the tent would end up being her sister.
I didn't see the commercial since I caught it on Hulu. They don't show previews ever, which is kind of annoying.
Also the actress is from Nakita so that's how I recognized her so easily as the sister.
Really enjoying the show!
Came for Rob Lowe but stayed because of the interesting plots, arcs and characters.
I'm enjoying it, mostly because I need my fix of hero shows and Chicago Fire once a week isn't cutting it. Given 9-1-1 is basically just a miniseries with about 10 episodes per season , it just means 9-1-1 Lone Star makes it a full season show.
I admit, it's a comedy disguised as a procedural drama. I may not laugh, but it makes me smile. Great for those times I'm just not in the mood for a comedy, but I need a pick-me-up.
Okay so the finale was pretty good. I wish now there were more episodes. Also Natalie Zea showed up on The Unicorn this week, may be a recurring character!
THAT'S who that was. I knew I recognized her, but CRS-Brain couldn't place her.
My eye-roll muscles were overworked during the last hour.
