And so, that was one business day ago, right? My, how all of our perceptions have been altered with time.

 

Not really, I expected the same experience I've previously received from Tivo.

I've ordered 3 of 5 Roamios, a Bolt and 5 minis in the last 2 yrs directly from Tivo and had the orders processed with a tracking number in 24hrs. They ship out of Dallas too, 4 hrs away. I usually have them the next day, so this is abnormal to what I have experienced previously. I was expecting at least an email with processing completed with a shipping number today.

Everyone else may have different experiences.

 

Ordered mine first day after heads up post on forum, before header listing on their website. Monday would have been first business day for them to process order, shipped on Wednesday and delivered FedEx on Saturday (TX to MN). Unfortunately all that was in the box was the bare Roamio without any accessories! Packing slip indicated unit + accessories should have been in there. Called Customer service Saturday afternoon and rep shipped PS/HDMI cable/remote/AV cable and Tivo website/Fedex has tracking for Wednesday delivery. Tried box with PS & hookups from my other Roamio and setup/network functions etc. looks OK on initial test setup. Unit looks new, plastic still on cabinet, May 2016 manufacturing date. Did a software update and guide download so went through the double guided setup required. So far so good.

 

Will be interesting to see what I actually get now. It finally shows processing in my TiVo account, but it is listed as Roamio OTA 1T w/accessories instead of 500gb

Mine said that too, but it is a 500Gb.

Well I lucked out. Mine arrived today and it is actually the 1TB version. 155hrs of HD recording time 1062hrs SD recording time. So definitely was a good deal. No need to immediately swap the drives now for my sister. This will probably be enough for her.

 

I was also lucky enough to receive a 1TB drive in mine. They shipped it knowing it had the drive installed. Mine was built Feb 2017 so it is a fairly new build. I had ordered a 3TB Red drive so will probably just upgrade before putting it in service Monday.

 

Well I got mine and it was also a 1TB version. I started setting it up and the remote got hung(red light stays on). After a few times taking the batteries out it seems to be fine. I am guessing something was not seated right. I see some say to get the remote replaced. I have two other Tivo Roamios and never had a remote issue. Any thoughts about the remote?
