Does anyone have an STL file of the battery cover that I could have? I'm missing the battery cover for my remote and want to print one on a 3D printer.

Which remote? There are a bunch of different ones which all have different battery covers.

I think just the standard grey remote and the one that came with the Tivo Premier.

Slightly tangential, but the Tivo Roamio remote cover seems to fall off very easily if I drop the remote (or cause it to be dropped, e.g. left on the blanket that I then pull over).. I think I broke the cover on one of my very old S1 remotes long ago, but the Roamios' is the only one I see just fall off (and the batteries fly out) from most falls.

Probably cheaper to buy a remote than to print the cover :D

    Ellicott...
Check ebay. Lots of Tivo remotes available cheap. Pretty much any Tivo remote should work. Most of the codes are standard across all models with but a few exceptions.

I would recommend Thingiverse.com but I did a search and didn't find any STL's for TiVo Battery Covers. Goolge wasn't helpful either.

Someone needs to do a 3D scan of one. If I had a scanner I'd do it for you.

You could take some measurements and try making one yourself in TinkerCAD.

If you already have a 3D printer, printing a cover would probably about $0.10-$0.20 worth of materials.

You'd need to be particular about the choice of filament, though. PLA wouldn't work too well. ABS or PolyMax would be better.

I have a scanner but I'm unsure how well it would do for a part like this. (Also, I don't have that remote.)

The one that came with my premiere was black:

If that's the one, I could try scanning the battery cover, but I suspect there is too much fine detail for the scan to work well.

The bottom one is one of the ones I'm looking for, I don't think the top one is the standard grey remote, I could be wrong though.

They are both the same remote (front and back). If your remote is grey, then I suspect its not the same premiere remote that came with a new box.

The one on top is less texturized. The one that came with my Tivo Premier is the bottom one. The other grey remotes I have are from an older Tivo.

That's just front and back pictures of the one and only remote that came with my premiere. There is no different top and bottom one :). In any case, I was right about too much fine detail (for my scanner, anyway - a matter & form box). Here's the stl I came up with after scanning because I got curious how well it might work:

The convex outside is fairly good, but the detail on the concave inside is hopeless, and the little clip on the end is barely hanging on.

The remotes have a sort of texture to them, so even though they are technically black they do look a bit gray in some light. So I could see why he thinks it's different.

hook... it's just a lighting difference, that's the same remote.

I’m looking for an stl file for the battery cover for the slide top remote with the keyboard. Attached are the identification numbers on the underside of the cover. B914AD09-C24A-43DC-929A-A4248D2E3D5C.jpeg
