I couldn't stand them so I stopped watching. Everything else about the show took the fakeness of Storage Wars and raised it by a power of ten.

I don't get trutv so I've never seen Storage Hunters.

I can't even think of which one is Auction Hunters vs Storage Hunters.

I forgot about that. That was funny.

I get the feeling Dave's not as big an ass as he makes himself out to be. Some part ass, for sure, but not AS BIG as he behaves on the show.

Certainly you've noticed that Jarrod is pimping Outlaw Apparel too, not surprising to find out he's a co-owner of that business also.

It's not doing that business any favors because he always looks like an idiot.

YAEP is how his bids sound to me, and my agreement with the quoted posts.:)

    Ah. You're right.

Except to me, they sound more like fingernails on a chalkboard. :D

Well Dave has his own line of Yuuuup shirts/hats.

Interesting he's doing his own auction business now.

You know, I've watched eight episodes now, and I just am not really liking this show much. I'll watch several more as I've got some stored up, but I like Auction Hunters head and shoulders above this. I like seeing more of the items followed through on, and I like Allen and Ton WAY better than anyone on Storage Wars. The name of show IS representative of the content. However, I just don't care for the pissing match nature of this show and the in-your-face 'I'm just bidding things up to screw with X' is just not the least bit entertaining to me at all.

I have a feeling that this one is more realistic though. The people on this show (minus Barry) rely on these auctions to fill their stores so I can imagine there is extreme competition at the auctions.

Lets hope Storage Wars: Dallas is equally entertaining. It starts 9/14.

    ok...I guess I just don't understand people.

In a recent episode, Hester purchases a locker that must have been somebody's who made jewelery. There were ton of cases and various stones and a safe.

In the safe was something like $2000. I figure a storage locker can't be more than $50/month. Why wouldn't the owner just grab some cash out of the safe and pay the back rent?

I've seen other safes that also had money in them. Do people just forget they have these lockers AND that they have money in a safe there? LOL

Assuming these things are not staged, I've come up with a few theories. The owner cold be in Jail with most things stolen so the risk isn't worth the reward. They might be hiding things from spouses, creditors, the cops, etc. Or they might have died or be totally incapacitated.

Storage lockers that big are way more than $50/mo.

My wife and I rented one 15 years ago when she first moved in, and it was a 10x20 (I think) and it was like $80/month.

    People's...
On the recent Storage Unlocked episode (kind of like After The Catch), one of them said the people don't pay and then they get locked out and can't get in and retrieve the cash to pay for the locker. As to why people don't keep up with the bills well thats humans.

They get locked out of their locker, or they get locked out of the facility?

If they get locked out of their locker, then why do the facility owners have to cut the lock off before the auction begins? Shouldn't it be their lock by then?
