I have 2 Series 3 dvrs, 1 with lifetime the other with monthly. I've taken the cable cards out of one and only use it for OTA and basic cable recording. But I have the 2 networked and was wondering if I could cancel my monthly subscription and use the 2nd DVR just to transfer shows over my home network to watch on the 2nd one. Or if I do that do I lose my multi room viewing capability?

    Thanks, James

If you turn off service, I think all you can do is watch what's already recorded on it and the live buffer.

I don't think you will be able to transfer to/from the said TiVo... at least not after it phones home to get an update. I don't remember how often it has to phone home.

MRV will go inactive if the Tivo is unsubbed or does not phone home for a couple weeks
