I am going to try to record them all in SD...I don't think I have a chance in HD.

Tivo must have a limit regarding how many episodes it can program for a particular show. Mine only shows up to season 9 episode 22 being scheduled even though I have guide data up to season 25 episode 14. Miraculously it doesn't show any conflicts at this point.

One other heads up, in the middle of the marathon it looks like they shoved in the Simpsons Movie on 8/29 at 5pm (Central).

Yeah they said they put the movie in when it came out (between the correct seasons)

I have both the HD and SD channels. I just set the season pass on my Tivo Roamio Plus, for the HD channel, #1 priority, record "everything," keep all episodes, save until I delete.

I'll guesstimate about 50-60% used for this.

eta: Whoops, just noticed R-Plus. Change that to 75% used.

So sad. I don't have FXX HD, just SD.

I'm more excited for Simpson's World than the marathon.

I'm settling for the first 2 or 3 seasons. I'll have to remember turn the SP off before it eats everything.

Why aren't the episodes being shown in chronological order? The first episode shown was a Christmas episode. Also, I watched it on the HD channel and it was an old episode originally broadcast in SD, but there were no black bars on the sides making me wonder if they cut off part of the picture to make it fit on a widescreen.
In any case, I'm not interested in seeing any more episodes since I've been watching it since it began anyway.

They are being shown in chronological order. The Christmas episode was the first episode of the series, ever (not counting Tracy Ulman shorts).

    Excellent tweet from Homer today:

@HomerJSimpson: I'll never forget our first Christmas! It was way back when Bart was 10, Lisa was 8 and Maggie was a baby.

Thanks, I didn't know this was the first episode, although I do remember seeing it way back when. I also watched the Tracy Ulman shorts and I remember seeing a short at a movie theater as a teaser for the upcoming series.

Just got home. The early episodes on the HD channel look distorted. Stupid. TV that was originally at a standard ratio should be shown that way.

I've been enjoying the marathon. Feel like I am 6-7 years old again.

It was funny how much the animation changed in S1.

Pretty much any time I see one show using another show's clips, (seemingly ESPECIALLY if they got it online), it's all stretch-o-vision. People are being incompetent.
