Jeff Garlin looking like what’s his face was hilarious...
The "people repellent" hat made me laugh.
I happened to catch part of the show for the first time, the other night just before going to bed. I found myself getting caught up in the show and decided to turn it of or I would have ended staying up past my bed time to watch it. I told my wife about it and she agreed we need to go back and start watching it from the beginning to see just how good it is. I have heard that it got off to a slow start before catching on and wonder if we should start with a different season to start with.
I don't think it is so much that it starts off slow as it takes time to warm to the characters. I'd start at the beginning.
It's nice to have funny, new episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm again. It put a smile on my face.
4 replies? 4?!?!?!?!
This was the greatest episode in one of the greatest shows of all time.
Let me have it.
Damn. Now I have to pay for HBO again.
Generally the nose test seems valid to me. Some hifalutin coffee shops in town insist that the beans they use are best served at a lower temperature but it bugs me because it’s cold by the time I’m halfway through. That first half though... yum!
Loved the casual vandalism.
FWIW it’s fine to run at 8 months, though I suspect scant few people would actually be comfortable doing so.
“No one ever wears those hats on backwards. I mean, if you want your ass kicked, you want to see it coming.”
Not quite the greatest but it was certainly up there. This made me laugh more in one 40 minute or so episode than in two seasons of Barry combined. It's nice to watch a comedy that's actually...ummmm...funny. I like Barry, but it's more interesting than funny. I had to pause this at least 3 times we were laughing so hard. Good to have CYE back!!
You're banned...banned from Mocha Joes!! (call back to the Fruit stand in Seinfeld).
I thought Suzie looked more like the Monopoly guy than Lincoln.
I could not get over how much Jeff looked like you-know-who. They should make him get in a car accident and hurt his legs so he has to use a walker
too bad they probably had finished filming the show by the time that ruse was used.
Yeah, I never thought of Jeff looking like that guy but once they said it I was totally seeing it. Poor Jeff!
I wonder if he's been approached in real life by people who thought he was him. That's why they wrote this into the show.
As a person who has been banned (multiple times), this episode finally cemented for me why this is the greatest show ever. For me. I just wish I had a fraction of the F-U money LD has. But that’s ok. I live vicariously thru him.
And today my toddler suddenly began wishing me a Happy New Year. I can’t tell for sure if she’s weaponized it like LD.
Great start to the new season.
Happy New Year
I liked it and laughed a lot but Larry dipping his nose into a cup of coffee to see if was hot was just dumb. Unless it was a reference to some other show but even then it was still dumb.
But knowing Larry, I'd bet he's done that in the past for real or saw someone do it and thought it was funny.
Every episode has misses. Larry's like a great homerun hitter who strikes out a lot.
