The Amazon app on my Tivo is terrible. The interface on my FireTV is much better and you can customize the FireTV (install applications).
Netflix is very slow for me as well. I have an internet TV and the app runs fine through the TV itself-the Tivo is the issue.

If there is a conflict, the higher priority will record. the less will be skipped. The missed one does not reschedule itself.

You definitely want to have the Tivo before the cable installation. The Tivo is considered a customer supplied box so you will save the box fee.

I find it easiest to program on line. We never use the remote for that but the computer is right by the TIVO.
