The problem with TiVos no longer being able to see (and pull from) PCs running TiVo Desktop is due to expired certificates of some sort. Go here...

There are 3 different possibilities regarding the model number of that S3--you should specify which one it is.
With a TiVo you're really paying for the use of the proprietary software that make a TiVo a TiVo and makes it do stuff the way a TiVo does stuff.
