    fyi, I called on Saturday to get the ads removed and today I noticed they're gone. I did not have to do any reboot on my own. Huzzah!

    just to be clear, I meant that TiVo showed me an ad for an Amazon Prime video program before showing me another episode of a series I recorded...

    I'm in almost the identical situation as Andy - analog cable, changing channels once the picture gets stuck only results in a grey screen, etc....
