I had a hell of a time almost a year ago getting my S3 to work with Comcast. I won't go into details, but it was Comcast's fault, not TiVos....
So this is a TV issue? When I experienced this, I assumed that the TiVo itself created the static because it had to change its output resolution....
I'm in NW Philly, so we may be on the same 'backbone', not that I know anything about the physics involved in cable television signal...
