I had something similar several years ago. It was cheap scart leads. Somehow they were causing the interference. Worth a go.

In the spirit of a thread several years ago I have just bought a Tivo from a well known auction site for the princely sum of £17.81 delivered....
I didnt bother 3 years ago and has not caused me any problems. Most 'issues' are sorted out without reference to any official company so why bother.
I think you can just re run guided set up to change provider and still retain your recordings. Better wait for definitive answer just in case tho.
