I guess there's still some people out there that still want to buy a DVR that won't work with any of the new DIRECTV HD channels.

You have to pay the monthly fee just to use it.

It's different than the HR10-250 TiVo unit, but I didn't have to much...
My credit union has some excellent SAVINGS PROGRAMS.

I'm pretty sure basic, local channels only cabletv was about $12/month.
I'd get a laptop cooler if I was you.
Check the TiVo internal temp. before and while using the cooler.
Hardly anyone reads that anyways. I don't think anyone at TiVo will be worried about this.
I would think every new one being built is tested as they are being built or at least so many out of the lot# being built are pulled and tested....
