Also note that a Zippered DTivo will get you the "Music and Photos", but not the "Music, Photos, and More". The latter I believe is the 7.x...

Tivoserver has to transcode on the fly, and some types of codecs take longer than others. Divx and xvid are pretty slow. It takes my Athlon...
Has anyone successfully used Mencoder to encode a Divx that will play back through Tivoserver? I've encoded a Divx successfully using this...
You can hack the HR10-250 to network, but the only version of the Tivo software that will run on it does not support Multi-Room Viewing (MRV)....
