OK, so just before he announces, Trump says, "I'm going to do something different here", then he announces that John Rich is hired.

So what was different??? I was expecting him to name one of them the winner, but give both their charities $250K, or give the runner-up's charity $100K or something like that. Nothing. So what was different?

I was a little disappointed that Marlee (whom I LOVE!) got upset and kept hammering on the money that came in. No, it was not a fundraising task, so that didn't enter into it. And until John said something about having this platform, etc., I didn't even think he solicited those donations, did he? After his comment, I suppose maybe he did. But it was a bit disappointing that Marlee seemed like she felt she needed to defend herself on that point.

So it was Dionne, Jose and Richard that didn't make the finale, right? No big loss on any count. Hey Star, STFU - and playing the race card??? STFU twice!

When Trump said "I'm going to do something different here", I expected him to announce "John Rich and Marlee, you're BOTH hired", since both of them did a great job.

I'm so glad they placed Lisa behind Star. Everytime Star was on screen, we got a nice close-up of Lisa's rack. Made it that much more bearable when Star was on screen!:D

I've never watched the Apprentice before. This was a fun little guilty pleasure show. How does regular Apprentice compare to the Celebrity one?
In the regular Apprentice (which unfortunately doesn't get as good ratings), the focus isn't on fundraising/charity. It's just about doing a good job on the tasks.

I like the regular version better because too often, the celebrity version boils down to "who knows people with deeper pockets?"

My wife checked and sure enough, Omaha Steaks is offering a kite in the Father's Day pack!

Father's Day should be fun and memorable and with Omaha Steaks it's easy to do both! Wow Dad with the succulent flavor of genuine Omaha Steaks Ribeyes - serve with delicious sides - and end the dinner with individual Molten Lava Cakes. Then take Dad out to fly your FREE kite for some special Father's Day bonding.

I love live TV ... Busey was hilarious, the Star/Nene exchanges were amazing, and Cassidy talking about Richard being in jail, wow.

After all the problems JR had with his event (failing to greet the executives, "Ladies and gentlemen, DEF LEPPARD!" ... *crickets*) I thought for sure Marlee had it. Not sure the extra money he raised should have counted but it might have factored in.

Marley is great but she didn't really "lead her team to victory" nearly as much as John did. Marley had one great task and even in the finals her team didn't completely support her leadership style since they felt very disorganized for quite awhile until she finally took control.

Finally, I'm happy with the winner Trump picked. It still drives me bonkers that Joan Rivers won. Ugg.

Busey was funny - not shutting up when Trump was telling him.

The Def Leppard not showing up was just not right. Rich stepped in as a true professional. I did like the Rich team's can and the ad a lot better than Meatloaf as a trucker with a cb.

yeah...I didn't get the "difference" until reading this thread.

Glad John won. I agree that he really led his team on this task and all the tasks he was a part of.

The only thing that I didn't care for was that when asked why they deserved to win, they kept talking about how much their charity needs it.....which kind of turned it into a my charity vs your charity and which one deserves it more. Talk about what YOU did, not about the charity.

Yeah that annoyed me too. It's no doubt that both of these are great charities. You shouldn't expect Trump to pick the winner based on which charity is more deserving. Tell why you deserve to be The Apprentice. What did YOU do to earn the spot, not why your charity is most deserving.

JR should have put even more emphasis on the fact that he was PM more than Marley, had more wins, and was instrumental in many of the tasks where he wasn't PM. I guess it didn't matter since he won, but Marley could have made it much closer if she had talked about how much she wanted the title of The Apprentice where JR was just talking about how his charity deserved it.

I loved Meatloaf's "Ahhh!" moment when Marlee's team saw JR's team's ad and prominent in the ad materials were a pair of Boom Boxes!

I think Marlee nailed the event portion and won that part over John - aside from maybe the signage aspect. But the ad and the commercial I think John won hands down. The one thing that I thought might have made the execs pick Marlee's commercial over John's was the "Un-Cola Nut" man. The execs seemed really surprised and pleased about that!

I enjoyed the "For the Kids" song and performance, too. Very nice.

They showed up exactly when they were told to show up. The problem was that John wasn't on the ball. I think Star knew and neglected to tell him.
I didn't catch that. I just saw there was some time gap between when he announced them and when they showed up. I admit, I was fastforwarding thru a lot because I didn't watch it when it was on and yet, still wanted to see what happened.

That's why I didn't watch this season. :(
I said I wasn't going to watch again but after the cast list was announced they sucked me in. There were several people in here that I recognized. And it ended up being a very entertaining season.

Dancing with the Stars this season though I would have watched except that there was like only 2 "stars" I even knew about so I passed on it.
