Slowing Losing Channels

About two months ago my Roamio suddenly decided to no
longer accept my premium cable channels (ie: Starz, HBO,
Cinemax, ect...) giving me a "This Channel is not Authorized
(V58)" message. I was planning to drop those channels
anyway so i didnt think much about it. A few weeks later I
lost all my HD Channels (ch700 and up.) Last week I lost all
my extended channels (ch225 and up.) Ive had the cable
company reset my card three times, and ive had them come
out an replace the card three times. The last time we verified
the brand new card worked in my wifes Roamio first.

The cable company says there is nothing they can do because
the machine is "refusing to pair" with the card and the device
is not part of their Tivo Package (it was privately purchased.)
I cannot get a response from Tivo either.

Is there a solution to this issue? I paid for lifetime service on
this machine and I have several shows saved that are not
downloadable or recoverable.

My provider is Mediacom, and i do not need a tuner to get
channels - they are decoded through the card. Ive had a very
long and happy relationship with this company, and i am friends
with one of the technicians who came out to the house. I am
confident this is not a play by them to get me into a new
contract. If anything, im more inclined to think this is Tivos way
of breaking my lifetime service by forcing me into a new device.

Also, we switched the cards between both Roamios - both cards
work fine in Roamio#2, neither work in Roamio#1. Whatever the
issue going on it is specific to this particular unit. Im hoping
there is a method to force pairing without losing my saved
recorded shows. In the CableCard menu, the option reads -
Pairing:No.

Is there a way to get it to say "yes" without a factory reboot -
and/or will a factory reboot likely reset the setting?

Only the cable company can pair a cable card. But the indication of a paired card is in the Conditional Access Menu:
Computer Personal computer Output device Font Display device

The line with VAL: there should be a "V" followed by a number which is count of the time the card has been pared. Once a card has been paired and a channel list received, pairing is no longer critical. I have two TiVo units that have cable cards that are not paired because I changed the hard drives. But they work just fine. In Diagnostics, the line for Cable Card Paired has always said "NO" since that line was added a few years ago.

DO NOT Perform a "Factory Reset". It will, at best, have no effect.

Does Roamio #1 believe a card is installed? If you can do channel scan the box does not find a cable card nor can you access the cable card menus.

Sorry, did not realize there was another reply.

My device shows EBCP: No VAL: l 0x00

Roamio #1 says a card is installed, and knows when its
removed, but on "channel scan" says no channels available. I
can fully access the card menu, diagnostics, and guided setup.

Seems to be a new card. But without the card it should find channels even if they are encrypted. Move the cable from the TiVo and plug it into your TV. Run a channel scan. It should find all the encrypted channels, but you can't view them. This will verify there is a signal on that coax feeding the Roamio.

I also had channels start to disappear a few months ago and it was because they started moving some of the channels to DSV (Digital Switched Video) which require a tuning adapter to receive, but they never bothered to give anyone a heads up they were doing this so I spent days with tech support who know nothing about DSV because they only know about their own cableboxes and know nothing about cablecards and tuning adapters.

Save yourself some time and just try adding a tuning adapter to see if the channels come back.

To be accurate, SDV: Switched video - Wikipedia
