Play movies stored on Time Capsule on TiVo?

I have all of my movies stored on my Time Capsule, and I've been playing them via a jailbroken AppleTV for the past while. I was just wondering if there's any way to do this via TiVo so I don't have to change inputs so often if I just want to watch a movie. Anyone have a good solution for doing this?

But is there any way to get the TiVo to access movies stored on a network drive such as the Time Capsule? Would prefer to avoid storing them on the TiVo and taking up space.

Copy/watch/delete. Leave on the network drive.

pytivo will provide the interface to access your network drive recordings from the Tivo. Shows up as folders in your myshows list.

Maybe the Premiere and/or Roamio can do some sort of streaming thing, but S2s and S3s have to copy the show to the TiVo, although they can start playing it before they finish copying.

As for accessing a network drive, is the Time Capsule "see-able" by a PC running XP or later?

'Cause you can put a shortcut to a network drive in the "My TiVo Recordings" folder used by TiVo Desktop on the PC on which it's installed. I can put shows on my Buffalo Link Station Pro and see them from, and copy them to, my TiVos that way.

Time Capsules speak SMB/CIFS (Win/Mac/Linux) and AFP (Mac/Linux).
