I had not tried that so I did as you suggested. I rebooted the Roamio but that alone did not work. So I reran setup on the iPad TiVo app (which I had tried several times before sans rebooting the Roamio) and it worked. It connected to the "home network."
Thanks for your help. I find the app to be kind of quirky - it constantly has to reconnect, especially when downloading. And it is temperamental. But in the end it works.
