I may give this another shot since they've moved the night. I stopped watching years ago because I would miss so many recordings due to sports running long.

I'm sure that was probably CBS' thinking too - seeing as it won the Emmy for Best Reality Show yet again this year.

I think they might be looking for a younger audience. Or possibly they want the NFL to help promote a new show on Sunday nights. Remember, the NFL runovers generally help their ratings Sunday night, not hurt them. We might hate that they do that, but there's a reason why all these years they still keep their normal schedule despite the overruns.

I love the show, but it was so frustrating that about half the time you would sit down and realize that you've missed half the show....or in extreme cases the entire show.....due to football or golf. Sure I could try to pad, but even then it sometimes wouldn't catch it and to be honest, padding is a pain.

I'm kind of excited about watching it again. I've always enjoyed it in the past.

I always end up bailing on a season because of the overruns. This will be the first season in many years I will be able to watch all the way through.

It has two former Survivor South Pacific players on it – Whitney and Keith. I don’t recognize either of them.

Hmmm....as I recall, padding takes an extra, maybe 30 seconds out of your life?

We usually didn't watch Amazing Race until the next day anyway, so the overruns didn't bother us.

I know it seems that way, but it still a pain to have to worry about it each week. One year I padded 30 minutes and still managed to miss some because it ran over even longer. I could have padded longer, but I refuse to take up my limited hard drive space each week with hours of unneeded recordings just to try to catch a 1 hour window, plus at the time I was limited to a single tuner, so I was screwed trying to recored anything else on Sunday nights. To me, it was just too much effort to have to think about it all to record a "just okay" television show. Not many show that I will jump through that many hoops to record.

I didn't pad Amazing Race but I did pad 3 hours after The Good Wife which was after it. That allowed me catch the end of Amazing Race if it ran over and still have the entire episode of The Good Wife.
