I'm interested in Gotham, not necessarily because of Batman, but because all the TV critics raved about the Gotham panel at the critics press tour, and they were very impressed with the creator/showrunner and how well prepared he was, how well he had planned out the show, how much thought had gone into things, etc. So if nothing else, I expect Gotham to be well written and well produced, and those are the most important things for a TV show.

I'll check out the Captain America spinoff because I'm a fan of Haley Atwell. I actually haven't seen either of the Captain America movies, but I really enjoyed Atwell in the Starz miniseries "Pillars of the Earth." So I'll at least check it out for her.

I'll check out Scorpion on CBS because I really enjoyed looking at Katharine McPhee when she was on American Idol. I found her less appealing when she was on Smash, so given the fact that this will likely be a typical CBS procedural, I doubt she'll be enough to keep me watching, but I'll at least watch the pilot.

I'll probably check out A to Z on NBC because I liked Cristina Milioti (the Mother from HIMYM) and I liked Ben Feldman (Michael Ginsburg on Mad Men) but the early reviews haven't been great, so we'll see.

Other than that, there's nothing that's really caught my eye, but I also haven't really paid much attention to any promos yet, so there will likely be a couple others that make my list by the time the season starts.

Returning shows I'm looking forward to:
The Black List
Grimm
Castle
Parks and Rec
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Others, but not as much

Haven't heard/read much of new shows, but I'll definitely record Gotham. Looking at the link page above (thank you) I'll have to check out Grace Point (just to compare it to Broadchurch which was very good) and Intruders.

The Flash
Gotham
Marvel's Agent Carter (I assume this is the Captain America spinoff referred to earlier; this is based on one of the Marvel short takes that I believe was included on one of the DVD/Blu-Ray releases; this premieres in January and replaces Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the Tuesday time slot)

The full Fall lineup for all channels has not yet been released so there may be a few other new shows I haven't seen listed yet, although Dig looks like it might be interesting.

As you can see, there's not a lot of new shows that have piqued my interest. There are some I'll be checking out, but so far it looks like even slimmer pickin's than last year. Network TV needs to step up their game and get away from the canned formulas they've been using for decades with shows about cops, doctors, lawyers, and firefighters. The same goes for the vampire craze that's been done to death, although The Strain is a refreshing take on the genre.

I haven't even thought about it yet. Usually the new shows hit my radar after Labor Day. I'm enjoying the summer stuff for now with some movies and ballgames thrown in.

This...I have backlogs of Rectify, Tryant, Extant, The Bridge and In The Flesh, plus the entire S2 of House of Cards and about two dozen movies, so I'm good for now. Darn you large hard drive...

No new shows interest me right now.

I'll be glad to see Blacklist and Castle and a couple of old school sitcoms come back.

After watching all the trailers that Tivo provided , the one that really stuck out for me was Fresh Off The Boat. Besides Big Bang Theory I don't watch sitcoms but the trailer for Fresh Off The Boat had me laughing so I'll definitely check it out.

LOL. You think you've got a backlog. I'm actually caught up on all of those shows. Problem is, I've got over 25TB of movies (approaching 1,000 so far) and TV shows on my server that I haven't watched. I try to keep current with shows that have aired within the last week and then catch some of the other shows I've archived if the opportunity presents itself.

I'm backed up out the wazoo! I still need to catch up on two seasons of True Blood, two seasons of Justified, and the most recent seasons of Orphan Black, The Walking Dead, Falling Skies, Continuum, Lost Girl, Arrow, Defiance and Warehouse 13. And don't even get me started on all the shows I've recorded that I haven't even started watching yet such as Bates Motel, The Witches of East End, Broadchurch, Helix, Dominion, Sleep Hollow and The Last Ship. It's a little ridiculous when you think about it.

I keep making the mistake of checking the Britich TV shows thread as well as numerous other TV shows. How about:

The last season of Arrested Development
Season 9 of 24
Seasons 2 thru 4 of Blake's 7
Seasons 2 thru 5 of Misfits
Season 2 of Derek
Seasons 2 and 3 of Sherlock
All 11 seasons of Shameless (UK version)
All three seasons of Rake (Australian version)
Season 2 and the last two episodes of season 1 of Tripods
Season 2 of Hemlock Grove
Season 2 of Banshee
Happy Valley
Vera
All seasons of Coupling (British comedy)
All seasons of Engrenages (Spirals) (French police drama)
All seasons of numerous other British sitcoms (A Bit of Frye and Laurie; Jeeves and Wooster, Spaced, and many more that I can't recall)

And more movies on Blu-Ray and DVD that I'll ever have time to watch

I'm caught up on my recorded stuff except for movies, which I have at least 20 saved up. But I'm also trying to watch Dexter (on S3 so far, it's been a few year project), and I'd like to watch House of Cards and Orange is the New Black and Lilihammer as well. There's no shortage of what to watch these days. It's not like the old days where you long for the Fall season to begin

IZOMBIE, this is going to be great. A medical examiner like the tired old CSI's, but she eats the brains......now that's a great twist indeed!!

I would add Black Box but it has been cancelled, about a crazy doctor who treats the crazy, and well done too, sorry it's gone. I liked Crazy Ones too with Gellar, would love to see her go to...guess what...Izombie! Maybe she will...she's free.

A TO Z with the girl mother from HIMYM, she should be perfect for any sitcom.
On the syndicated side Naked Dating, quite good on the eyes.

Scorpion, maybe, need to know more.

I *might* give Black-ish one or two episodes to disappoint me. I'll probably give all of the comic book spinoff shows a shot, the Intruders since it's probably a short season, and maybe Scorpion.

"Forever" sounds quite a bit like 2008's "New Amsterdam." But I am hopeful it will have better legs than that.

And if "Forever" has flashbacks, then you can group it along with "Forever Knight" and "Highlander".

If anybody has Survivor on their list, they may be in for a disappointment;

Survivor editors' strike may delay upcoming season

These are the shows that I think I will be definitely watching

Monday
The Voice
Gotham

Tuesday
Marvel's Agents of Shield
Person of Interest
The Voice
The New Girl

Wednesday
Law and Order SVU

Thursday
Big Bang Theory
Elementary

Friday
The Amazing Race

Sunday
Once upon a Time
CSI
Walking Dead

I am not sure I want to add much more to that schedule. I may try one or two new shows but they will need to knock my socks off.

Hate to break it to you but the final season of Justified aired earlier this year. It's over and done with.

I am quite curious about Gracepoint and Gotham. Some other shows interest me but they seem doomed from the start (destined to be canceled or destined to suck) - e.g. Forever, basically every new comedy, Scorpion.

Adding Gotham to my list after watching a few promos. Good to have something besides Sleepy Hollow to watch on Monday nights.
