Advantages of Roamio over Premiere?

I get the 6-tuner thing (or 4). Other advantages are the RF remote and built-in wifi.

I have a 2-year old Premiere with an upgraded hard drive. The dual-purpose is usually fine for my family, although 4 would be nice.

We don't ever *plan* on taping over-the-air again, but we'd lose that with the Roamio, right?

I'd like to be able to stream to my Android. Tivo Stream might do that soon?

I have a Premiere and a Series 3 (both lifetime, not using the Series 3). Wondering if I should sell both and get a Roamio or get a Mini or a TiVo Stream.

Thoughts?

There are rumors that Android streaming is coming, but no guarantees until it actually happens. If you get the Roamio Plus or Pro, you don't need to get a stream, as the stream is built into them. Another advantage to the Plus and Pro models is that it has built in moca which can be quite handy, especially if your house isn't wired for ethernet and you plan on using a mini.

While the 6-tuner models are digital cable only, the 4-tuner Roamio does support OTA, it just can't do both. During guided setup, you have to select either OTA or cable.

The quickness when navigating the menus is a great improvement over the Premiere's. Everything seems to work smoother and faster. Even guided setup was twice as fast.

This is the best part IMHO. A Roamio moves about as fast as you can click, most of the time. A Premiere doesn't. I still have my Elite, and get the waiting blue circle all the time. Never see it on my Roamio.
