I'm guessing that Colton Haynes isn't really capable of giving a real "Hulk" type performance.
I'm not sure what to call the performance he did give but I'd have to say that he looked more constipated than rage filled.
(He'd make a lousy Red Lantern.)
I hadn't heard about an upcoming character death nor that Thompson was leaving so I wasn't even thinking about Moira actually dying until Slade laid out the scenario.
(And I should have picked up on it once Moira revealed that she knew about Oliver.)
Then I knew that Moira was going to sacrifice herself.
The present day elements were fairly strong but (other than Colton Haynes performance) I think that the episode fell down some in the flashback segment.
I realize the intent was to reemphasize Moira's willingness to do anything for her children but I think that was already well established.
I've also always viewed Slade's motivation (love for Shado) as being on the thin side but they've helped that by showing the hallucinations and (as previously mentioned) that he is batsh*t crazy.
Nice of Sarah to desert Oliver during such a dire time.
So Slade has one more to kill.
Thea or Laurel?
