Retiring my tivo

I'm retiring my TiVo and moving to my cable companies DVR. After switching, Cani just hook up an HDMI cable to watch the shows that I have already recorded on my TIVO?

Or you could move your old shows to your computer and sell your old TiVo. Especially if it has lifetime.

Easy to do if the programs are flagged copy freely but if not, I don't know how to do it and I doubt if the OP does either.
