Survivor Cagayan : "We Found Our Zombies" : OAD 3-26-2014

Quit? QUIT??? Because someone is mean to you and you're afraid you'll do something you regret? Bollocks. That was as lame a quit as Survivor has ever seen. Shame on Lindsey.

As for Alexis, I'm glad they ditched her instead of Jeremiah. That thing Tony did with the clue was clever, but evil, and doubly so having come from a cop. Then Tony doubles up on the stupid with his admission at camp and then the "Final Five!" taunting. That was not clever.

I am a bit confused why Alexis and Jeremiah were considered a danger to flip, but not Morgan.

Spoiler from the preview for next week:
Spoiler:
I wish I hadn't watched that. They show too much in the previews. Anyway, merge time. Dang Lindsey probably accelerated that by a week.

I agree. Finally a tribe votes smart.

So....did Tony ( a cop) planted evidence? Lol

This is the second time this season they've given an enormous spoiler in the previews, not cool CBS, not cool, we're going to watch it anyway so there was no need.
Spoiler:
last time they did it was the previous merge

Yes, that was pathetic. I'm surprised that someone with that much quit in them made it through the casting process. I'm sure she will regret the decision.

Jeremiah is a sucker - I give Tony credit for picking the perfect person to play that trick on. Jeremiah should have never given that clue back.

Yes, that was completely ridiculous. She has to realize that part of playing Survivor is learning to get along with people you don't like. If she's not willing or able to do that, then she had no business being selected to be on the show in the first place.

I wonder if there was some creative editing there trying to make Jeremiah look bad, because none of his explanations made sense, yet it seems the tribe trusted him over Alexis. So he must have been able to give a better explanation and they just didn't show it to us to increase the dramatic tension.

The other team has three strong men. If this tribe had voted Jeremiah, they would have been down to one man. That's not a good recipe for success in the first half of this game.

Regarding the preview:
Spoiler:
They're merging with 11 players? When is the last time there was a merge with odd numbers? That seems very strange.

After the pow-wow with Alexis, Spencer said they will tell her they are all together, then they will get together themselves and do what is right for them going forward. Part of that seemed to be realizing they were much better off with Jeremiah in the next few days than with Alexis.

I may not be remembering correctly, but hasn't the trend been for many seasons now that there were nine jury members and a final three? If so, I wonder if we will now have nine jury members and a final two, or eight jury members and a final three? Although, as I'm typing that, I wonder if Lindsey's quitting altered that from what it normally would be?

And was Trish confessing to be a man really just a joke? Cuz I could see it either way!

Jeff took it easy on Lindsey. His disdain for people who quit is usually very palpable. I guess Lindsey is cute and very young but I was surprised he gave her a pass.

When Jeff first came to her, it looked more like a little girl calling for daddy to stop the mean girl from being mean to her.

Ugh. I hate when a team can just cheat off another team in the challenges to catch up.
Yeah, there is no rule against it, but I think there should be.

Jeff's Q&A - http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/03/27/su...f-probst-quit/

And the same spoiler for next week that was shown in the previews. So if you don't want to know, then you should probably skip it.

It would be dirt simple in this challenge to have completely different numbers for the two tribes. No cheating possible then.

I was really hoping that would be the case and the team copying the other would fall further behind. Of course, that would never happen since the idea is to have the challenge be as close as possible

So she wanted to teach her daughter that walking away from a bad situation is the best way to handle it. And that quitting is ok when the going gets tough.

It's time for a "grown up" test for Survivor applicants. I'm beginning to feel quite uncomfortable watching some of these juveniles. The food and shelter thing tended to make borderline cases grow up, but lacking that anymore, we are seeing some pretty challenged people on this show.

My thoughts:

Tony was an evil genius giving that fake clue to Jeramiah!

Umm....was Trish joking when she said she was really a man? that was very strange and then they cut to another scene.

They all totally blew that reward challange. All you had to do was throw your statue high up in the air and the bum rush the other player. Its all about who's statue hits first. I thought the nerd guy had figured that out when he went first, but I guess not.

I think they've done that same challange before and I said the exact same thing.

Given all that Tony has shown us, I'm thinking that he's one of the stereotypical bad cops you see in movies and tv. He'll lie to get a conviction, plant evidence, etc., whatever it takes.

Sorry but this made me laugh. I don't agree with people making connections like this with any reality show contestants.

I believed that of him well before his latest shenanigans. Could he be any more stereotypical?

She'll never admit regret. On the reunion show, she will insist that she was the better person, insist that quitting was her only option, and insist that she hasn't given Trish a thought since.

All you need to know about Lindsay is the fact that, while she was describing her impossible situation with Trish, and explaining why she had to remove herself from the voluble situation, she repeatedly referred to Trish's large teeth.

Lindsay is an awful person, and I'm glad she's gone.

I told my wife why didn't the others figure out that Spencer threw his idol high. She said I wonder if he realized he did and sure enough his next time up he hadn't.

While I HATE when people quit Survivor, if she truly thought she would do something she regretted (hit her for example), then I can see getting yourself out of that situation. We have no idea how unstable she might be or what she is capable of doing.

There is also no rule against standing between the other tribe and your puzzle, blocking their view.

I don't blame the tribes for doing it, I just hate that they don't design it so that it doesn't work, or even better.....that it would throw them off!

My favorite part of that scene was Tony's response to Trish's revelation that she was a man ... "I knew it!!" LOL! And Tony had admitted just before that he only had felt a bond with Trish up to that point in the game, but now felt comfortable enough with the rest of his tribemates to admit he was a cop.

Did you mean "volatile"?

volˇuˇble:
speaking or spoken incessantly and fluently.
"she was as voluble as her husband was silent"
synonyms: talkative, loquacious, garrulous, verbose, wordy, chatty, gossipy, effusive, gushing, forthcoming, conversational, communicative, expansive, articulate, fluent;
informal: mouthy, motormouthed, gabby, gassy, windy, talky

ETA: Was Lindsey the one in the first or second episode who did the hilarious impression of Trish and also referred to her as "MalnuTrisha"? LOL! Obviously an enemy from Day One ... literally!
