Justified - "Good Intentions" - 1/21/14

Interview with Graham Yost about the episode

http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/01/22/ju...ns-postmortem/

Lots of stuff going on. Boyd has a lot on his plate right now. Jimmy back in the picture, Ava getting restless, Paxton wanting him dead, the Crowes about to come after him, etc... And of course Mara.

I miss the Boyd/Raylan interactions, hopefully they will have some face to face time soon.

Still not sure about pot-smoking, meth-planting Allison; she certainly livens things up with Raylan. But they certainly are trying to place doubt in the minds of viewers as to whether she's on the up and up...

Many great one-liners in this ep...Rachel -- "Are you gonna be late for dinner?"

I was oblivous that Allison may have been in cahoots with Henry until it was brought up. It wouldn't be the first time Raylan was played by a woman.

Rachel needs more time on screen, I love her character.

My one problem, it seemed to be off on the writing for Raylan's assumption about the shamrock tattoo guy coming from the homeowner guy.

he was so sure and considered nothing else, not something that I'm used to seeing.

She's great. I love the condescending manner that she and Art display towards "golden boy" Raylan.

Tim the sniper is a hoot too.

I figured it was in character (he had no reasons to suspect it might have something to do with the social worker). I did, however, think that they were hitting his jumping to that conclusion hard enough that he had to be wrong. And I was a little surprise he didn't do a better job of reading the homeowner when he was denying it...THAT seemed out of character.

I don't know but you had me thinking I was in a Shameless thread and missed something in the latest episode.

He was in the office. He should be riding with Raylan. Raylan needs him.

I'll spoilerize this because it does fall under the definition of spoiler, even tho it really isn't

Spoiler:
There were a couple of shots of Tim in next weeks preview.

Yeah, whoa.

I thought she'd take the gold and disappear.

That's what I'm referring to, he just stuck with his stupid initial opinion for way too long compared to how he has always been written in the past.

Well, it wasn't originally a stupid opinion...it was the best and only explanation from the evidence he had.

But yes, given the homeowner's reaction, he should have begun to wonder if there was evidence not present.

What I like about "Rayland" is that he can on some occasions be insightful and quick thinking while in other occasions he can be obstinate and miss the obvious. You know, like actual human beings. This is not a superhero series.

Has Boyd's bar ever had a customer?

I love Dewey Crowe's constant stupid look.
