How to grab a particular season only of a show?

I want to record the full season 6 of sons of anarcy when it re airs at some point. What's my best way to do that? Keyword wishlist?

You can't really. Although you could setup a WL for the title of the first episode of S6 and then grab the rest once it airs. Although if it's part of a marathon then you might not notice it in time.

Or you could always just go over to eztv.it and download it.

eztv is a BitTorrent tracker. But they only have TV shows and they're organized by show/season. Typically the shows you'll download will be MP4 or MKV and can be transferred to a TiVo using pyTiVo.

You could look at the guide every week and look for a marathon.

Or just setup a SP for repeats, I doubt they would run a whole show marathon, most likely just the latest season.

Or, you could use Netflix or Amazon Prime.

Well what's going to happen first, it all repeats or it gets over to one of those?

Netflix is typically one year back, so they don't get a season until the next season starts. I assume Prime is the same.

Individual Wishlist for each episode. Pretty easy if you search for it and then go Episodes-->Season 6 and you're using a Premiere or Roamio.

As said...

If you get the names of each episode in the season, you could design a wish list for each individual show.

If they are already in the guide, you can simply choose to record each episode individually. Not really what you are looking for - but it works.

Well, it's at the very least most likely going to be the *full* episodes on one of those services.. not hacked up for more commercials!

I just went into every episode and created a wishlist for each one. I then went into wishlists for each one and selected "in HD only if available". What a painful exercise. TiVo needs to get smarter.

I have done that first part. If you only have HD stations I'm not sure you needed to go through that second step.
