Comcast VOD with Netflix on TiVo Roamio

When was this announced? Not sure which is bigger, Comcast supporting TiVo Roamio or Netflix. 2014 is going to be an interesting year!

Announced in May 2011 I believe, it rolled out to San Francisco in April 2012. It's in several other Comcast markets now, but as we sit here in January 2014 not in three of Comcast's largest markets: Atlanta, Chicago and Houston.

You may never get it. A while back Comcast "paused" the roll out to the markets at that time saying the agreement with Tivo was completed. While they didn't say that they wouldn't expand anymore, but there was no expectation of further markets getting it. Recently there was some news of a further expansion, but I can't remember if it was very limited or more widespread (or just unclear).

Found the link to the "pause."

and to the resumption

Imagine how frustrated I am in that I am lucky enough to live in an area where it *is* available, yet Comcast still can't figure out how to set up my account so that it doesn't freeze after 6 seconds.

I had this problem and Comcast fix it with some special code for the cable card and Roamio +, before the tech came out I got a call from someone way up the tech chain and after giving this person the model of my Roamio he made some change reset the cable card and now VOD works without any problems (for the last 2 months).
