So I am across the country today and went to download a show in the iPad app and it says there is a problem connecting to your streaming device. I can delete shows, see the DVR etc however all of the stream functionality is broken. It looks like there was a power outage at home earlier so the tivo likely got a new dhcp address. It tells me to connect to my home network to setup streaming! Obviously being 3000 miles from home this isn't possible. Very frustrating that a simple short lived power outage will break the stream and require a setup all over. Has anyone run across this before?
I am guessing that unlike the sling box which uses upnp the tivo isn't as robust here. I assume the fix is a static ip and resetup while at home. Very frustrating. The latest build of the iOS app seems to have fixed the disconnects that took place while downloading ooh. I really love the quality of the downloads.
