If we're going as recent as Firefly, I'll nominate the first real episode of Battlestar Galactica after the re-imagined mini-series: 33.

Too bad the series sagged quickly, and only on a few occasions managed to even come close to returning to that level of quality (BSG: Razor, and Exodus, Part II).

The Carol Burnett Show where Tim Conway played the dentist and Harvey Korman the patient.

The Elephant story where the entire cast loses it.
Elephant Story

My favorite is Gone With the Wind, which encompassed the whole episode.

The parade of past guests is EXACTLY why I disliked the finale. It was stunt-writing. Everything other than the parade was ok.

So I guess they couldn't please everybody.

So it was stunt writing? Why is that necessarily bad? Especially in a show like this which had so many amusing foils? Part of the genius of the show was that they never shied away from letting the guests on the show have some of the best moments. Think about all the famous lines attributed to guests in the series. A callback to many of these people actually seemed natural to me, and it might have been disappointing NOT seeing them come back.

Obviously it wasn't bad for you. But I didn't like it. It just seemed like a manufactured way to make it a big event and give these characters an opportunity to say their catch-phrases one last time.

It seemed very forced to me. I'm glad you liked it though.

That's the one, and I just quoted that line to a friend on Facebook when she complained about her lights not working!

Love Elephant Story. I think it's sad that younger generations may never experience TV like this again.

Magnum P.I. Season 3 ep 2 "Did You See the Sun Rise?"

Magnum Season 4 ep 1 "Home from the Sea", or the one where Magnum treads water for most of the episode.

I give them at least a B for effort.. It tried to meta-Seinfeldize the whole series. It wasn't that funny, but I see what they were going for.

My google-fu escapes me but I liked the Survivor episode where the Asian woman thought they had merged and was spilling her guts to the other tribe and Jeff says something like "Merge? I didn't say we were merged. You're two tribes living on one beach."

The look of shock and horror on her face was priceless.

To me THE classic Survivor moment is STILL S1 Finale - Susan Hawk's snake-rat speech. That whole thing set the tone for EVERY season after.

Other Survivor Moments - Ruppert stealing stuff like a pirate in the opener of that season. Johnny Fairplay's Grandma "dying".

I believe that was Thailand, but I agree that THE iconic moment is the snake-rat speech.

Edit: Yup, Shii Ann in Thailand: http://youtu.be/I3sm5AJbc7U?t=2m1s

I remember that one, one thought the other 2 were having sex. That's as classic as that one Family matters were Urkel breaks something is thrown out of house told never to return, but later they discovered how much he meant to them and was welcomed back.
