Almost Human 11/17/13 Pilot episode

I really enjoyed this show and my SP is set.

Yep, looks promising. But I'm so sick of broadcast networks who can't be bothered to keep to a schedule properly.

My episode recorded just fine.

Anyway, I liked it a WHOLE lot better than I thought I would. Loved the feel of the world, and the characters. SP kept.

I'm in also. So glad it is scheduled to air just before Sleepy Hollow. That might help ratings for both shows.

I really liked it. I especially liked some of the little world-building touches that weren't focused on but were just shown in passing - like the holographic crime scene tape that they walk through and their Police ID flashes briefly as they cross the barrier.

Looking forward to episode 2, tonight.

I liked it, I'm in for a SP.

However the Fringe shooting locations were obvious, more than just your usual Planet Vancouver spots, I have to suspect having Fringe DNA in the staff is part of it.

Most obvious? the apartment building that was the pocket universe that they hid the boy in on Fringe.

Yeah that threw me off. I hit record a few minutes in but don't think I missed much.

The guy playing DRN (dorian) is adorable eye candy.

I enjoyed it.

I also liked the Dorian actor when he was in the Common Law tv series (constantly fighting cop partners forced to get couples counselling by their boss.)

Interesting, I got more of a Blade Runner vibe, which they were clearly going for.

Then again, I don't tend to notice specific buildings unless it's Bradbury Building obvious (speaking of Blade Runner)...

Yeah, I kept expecting Dekker to show up, too!

I wouldn't use the word "great", but it certainly has promise. I'll give it a few more episodes before I pass judgement.

I enjoyed it, but I'm wary. It would be nice if they did some actual police work instead of just relying on technology to progress the case. Also, I'm hoping they wrap up the current case within a few episodes and move onto to something else instead of making it a season- (or show-) long bad guy who they are constantly fighting. The bit about the girlfriend being a bad guy doesn't give me much hope, though.

Mine started at exactly 8:00. Were there issues elsewhere?

On the East Coast it started about 15 seconds late because the apres-football guys wouldn't shut up soon enough.

So I tagged an extra minute onto the end in the recording options, just in case.

Did you ever see any of the Total Recall TV series a while back?

I'm wondering how much resemblance there is.

I guess I didn't notice the 15 seconds.

Haven't watched it yet, but I'm looking forward to it tonight based on the comments here. If I retain this SP, it'll let me dump one or two others that have gone down the crapper like Revolution, Covert Affairs, etc...

It was obvious to me that they were shooting in Vancouver but I think that I've gotten pretty good at spotting if a show is shot in New York City, Los Angeles, Toronto, or Vancouver.

That said, I got a Blade Runner meets Robocop vibe from the setting.
Which I think, is a good thing.

Although I have to admit that when Kennex got his leg blow off, I said, "Dr. McCoy can't fix his own leg?"

Still, I found the pilot enjoyable and I'm sticking around for more episodes.

Not enough to even notice.
Less than 2 seconds of the car driving down the road were missed. Some people want to see the end credits, I couldn't care less about seeing them.

I like it well enough, but I still have plenty of doubts about it.

It cracked me up when Bones shoved the MX out of the car. Yeah, I'll keep it. He warmed up to the new synth all in the space of one ep.

Funny seeing Lili Taylor in an action role.

Dammit, Jim. I'm a cop, not a doctor!

And, I get the Blade Runner vibe, too.

SP is set, only because it's easier to record and dump then remember to record. I'm on the fence about this one. It has some potential, but is also a bit cliched/tropee...

I too got the Blade Runner vibe, along with some Minority Report, Alien Nation etc... It all seemed too much like; been there...done that.

I hope it gets better quickly and doesn't devolve into some standard buddy cop procedural that we've all seen too much of.

So, what was that thing that his ex-girlfriend threw down beside him? It looked like it was going to explode and vaporize him, but apparently all it did was put him into a coma with some memory loss.

In watching these first two episodes, I'm wondering what they're spending per episode. FOX has a history of quickly cancelling shows that aren't sufficiently profitable.
