Shows that regularly put you to sleep.

I admit it, I'm sleep deprived. But some shows I stay awake and others put me out. Shows that regularly put me out:
NCIS LA
HAVEN
Warehouse 13
King and Maxwell

Put me to sleep because they are boring or put me to sleep because I usually watch when tired?

Revolution
Once Upon A Time
The Good Wife

Edit: I was thinking about the irony that something called "Once Upon a Time" puts me to sleep

I cannot make it thru a single episode of "Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman."

I think is something about his voice as the subject matter is usually interesting to me.

I know it's a movie, but..

I have tried to watch "Lost Horizon" about a half-dozen times in my life and I have yet to make it through the movie without falling asleep.

I enjoy Glee (less now than a few seasons ago), but something about that show puts me right to sleep. It's like a running joke in my family. We could put it on at 3PM, while I'm wide awake, but 25 minutes later and I'm in dreamland.

Lately it's been Bones and New Girl.

Don't know what it is about those two shows, or it's just I am choosing to watch them closest to bedtime, but I find myself falling asleep, waking up and rewinding to the spot I last remembered, then falling asleep around the same scene again and again, after about 4 times I give up and go to bed.

Next day, I usually watch the rest of episode and make it through.

Top of my head, I can't remember any other shows that cause this phenomenon.

I fall asleep if I watch anything while on the couch or in bed. The only way I can stay awake for most shows is to watch from my desk while I am surfing the internet or playing a game. Sometimes I fall asleep at my desk watching YouTube videos.

Maybe because the leads of both shows are sisters IRL?

As much as I love the show, I cannot stay awake through a full episode of Mystery Science Theater.

The Biggest Loser. Too long and drawn out, which is why I gave up on it a couple of seasons ago.

This exactly. I've completely given up watching anything after 10PM and 9PM is a stretch most nights.

Any show where they constantly film outdoor and even some indoor scenes in the dark such as CSI, 24, and Person of Interest. Also shows where there are long pauses between character dialogue such as the Killing. I like many of these shows, but I have to usually watch them no later than 8PM for me to stay awake.

Agreed, that show moves sooo slowly, but I still am interested in the story. I almost see it as a chore to watch that show. Someone needs to do an edit where they combine two episodes into an hour or even an hour and a half.

This is the worst! I'm always spoilerizing games for myself. I'll fall asleep somewhere in the 2nd quarter with a score something like 21-3 and wake up during the post-game show to find out its 21-48 or something like that.

I was commenting to myself just the other day that Jess is looking more like Bones every day.

Last night I tried watching Sleepy Hollow, kept falling asleep, switched over to Anger Management, kept falling asleep.

Anyone related on those two shows?

I enjoy both shows, it may have been due to the fact I just finished watching SOA (90 minutes with commercials/hour+ without)
and Castle (45 minutes FF'ing through commercials) after a 9hour shift "watching" TV.

Yep.

I usually will fall asleep a few minutes into a show, then suddenly wake up and 20 minutes has gone by. So glad for TiVo and I can just either stop there or start at the beginning. Many times I have just stretched out on the couch, kicked the dog to the end and the cat off and woke up 3 hours later.

Yeah and it shouldn't be because a lot of that stuff they are showing is cool, but it has that boring music and that boring narrator and repeated visuals of machines rapidly wrapping Twinkies that just lulls you to sleep. You start out watching about how cheese puffs are made and you drift off and you wake up in the middle of some show about alien conspiracies, then you groggily question humanity.

I am falling asleep right now, trying to watch the second episode of The Tomorrow People. Just conscious enough to type this.

Sitcoms. I love sitcoms. I also love to fall asleep to them. AD and 30 Rock are two of my favorite bedtime shows.

I only vaguely recollect having posted this. I was surprised to open the thread just now and see it.

Falling asleep with three minutes to go last Sunday's Patriots game, then repeating few hours later at seventh inning of Red Sox vs Detroit. (Big Boston fan. )
