Can't connect to Netflix... anyone else?

Anyone else having problems streaming Netflix tonight? I'm not able to connect via TiVo, although connecting from my computer works fine. I've tried rebooting the TiVo and disconnecting the Netflix account; now when I try to re-connect Netflix I get the same error about not being able to connect.

Anyone else?

How did you reboot the Tivo? Through the menu, or by pulling the plug? You may also try rebooting the router as well.

I had some minor issues last night with NetFlix. Getting to it via the NPL brought up the normal NetFlix screen but the artwork in the lists wasn't displaying. I could still navigate left/right/up/down and the main graphic banner at the top of the screen would update so I could see what I had highlighted and choose the right show to stream.

I rebooted through the menu. After a while we did get the screen that allowed us to re-register the TiVo with Netflix, but after typing in the code into the Netflix site it still didn't successfully register. I'll try again tonight.

You should bug Netflix support. Their server software/hardware that handles Tivo clients is distinct, i.e., it can fail for Tivo but not for another client type. Not sure but I suspect there is a Tivo server that gets involved in Netflix operations too.

I have 4 different ways to get Netflix, which is probably enough. Tivo is the one I use the least. Notoriously clunky and prone to inducing Tivo reboots, although there have been some favorable reports that the Roamio does a little better.

Software that locks up and forces a reboot due to internet problems (e.g., the Tivo Netflix client implementation, at least on Series 3 tivos) is simply inexcusable.
