The Neighbors Season 2

How is there not a thread for this show yet?

Any show with no laugh track should automatically have a thread!!!

Anyway, through the first two episodes i've had many "have to pause and rewind" moments due to laughing.

Family conference - when little Abbey schooled them all with her debate points (i have a teenager, so the 14th face thing just hit home so hard)
Also, don't forget to pause and read the bios for each person on the screen behind them as they speak, or the family conference rules!

Larry Bird's pranking the Weavers with the aging machine story in Ep2

This show started for me as a "will watch it if i have time", but has turned into one of my favorite 30-minute shows.

I really like this show, but I didn't understand the prank with the kids. Why would both kids age to be dwarfs, especially if they didn't show any signs previously.

They just aged. They didn't grow up.

Glad to see a thread started- we really think this is one of the most underrated, under-appreciated shows on right now. It just keeps getting better and better- the first two episodes this season were both great- my wife and I commented that we laughed more in the first 10 minutes of this show than we did in an hour of the Michael J Fox show.

I am afraid that we better enjoy it while we can- it was a surprise that it was renewed, and the ratings still are not good- hopefully we will at least get a full second season.........

We were delighted to see it renewed because we thought we were the only people still watching- we love this show!

Some of those were really funny. In the bios they had death dates for the adults.

Totally agree. It's not "critically acclaimed" smart humor, so therefore it has to suck

I laugh a lot with this show. Isn't that what a sitcom is supposed to do?

This show and The Middle to me are the most underrated sitcoms on TV.

Agree 100% about the Middle, too....

And I would also argue that even though the premise of The Neighbors seems ridiculous, the writing on this show IS actually very smart, much more so than many other shows

I agree. If you listen to some of the dialogue, especially of the aliens, there's almost as many references to pop culture as there are in Community, and we all know how the critics love that show (I do too for that matter). My only complaint, and maybe it's intentional, is that the aliens are responding to situations a lot more "human" and it's especially obvious in some of the dialog. Maybe the writers are doing this intentionally to show how the aliens have assimilated into human society. There's less broad wacky type humor than earlier in the show. It's not really hurting my enjoyment of the show though.

The wife and I both love the show. I just wish they'd find some other storyline other than basing each episode on a different holiday that's too alien for the aliens to grasp.

Yeah, we caught that, too. Kids today probably wouldn't have recognized it.

Another great episode tonight. Loved the payoff on the flash cards and the fish and chips.

It was also nice to have an episode where Toks Olagundoye had an A-story. I've really got a crush on her.

And it was great to see Lucy Davis again. She didn't look great, but it was still good to see her.

This is one of the best shows on TV. It's the one show I watch just as soon as I can.

More people should be watching it! But I love the way they poke fun at themselves for being on Friday night now.

reminds me a lot of '3rd Rock From The Sun'. have watched it from the start. Jackie Joyner Kersey is hysterical!
Great, goofball program

Not just Friday night, but about being on TV in general
I submit the new theme song as evidence as it ends with " we'll be done in 30 minutes"

I LOVE the new theme song. It's the only theme song I don't FF through!!

Last weeks episode was awesome. Halloweenukah (or whatever they called it). I don't know if I'd call this show a guilty pleasure, because I don't think it would ever get any credit for being well written (and I really think it is, if you listen closely to what they are saying), but I really enjoy it.

We watch it all the way through every week as well, and I never do that with any other show.

I think it's awesome that it's sung by "Larry Bird" (Simon Templeman)

He's the only reason I love the show so much.
Although I think the hub would say Toks Olagundoye (Jackie Joyner Kersee).
