Multi-Room Streaming not working

I have 2 premieres on the same account and same network, both wired. I went through the help on TiVo's website (there isn't much) and I cant get either of them to stream shows from the other. Mostly I want to be able to do this because some shows are copy protected and I cant transfer them, but I also just want to be cause its supposed to work.

Do they see each other in the now playing list??? If not, have them both "phone home" a couple of times and sometimes resetting them help. Copy protected programs will not stream either. They have to reside on the machine. I also found recycling the lan address can help too.

Copy protected recordings will stream. The ability to watch copy protected content on another Tivo is probably one of the top reasons Tivo implemented streaming.

On my Premieres I can only watch them if it's in the box. No Minis, noda ...
Thankfully Amazon lets you have 2 downloads on whatever you buy ...

Can I stream copy-protected videos?

Most copy-protected content can stream to any Premiere series DVR on your account. If you are not able to stream video, please see Why can't I stream video?

Why can't I stream a video?

Multi-Room Streaming will only work between Premiere series DVRs. To view videos between other types of TiVo DVRs, use Multi-Room Viewing.

If you are using Premiere series DVRs, try the following troubleshooting to resolve the issue:

The host DVR has reached its limit of client DVRs

The host TiVo DVR can stream to up to three other DVRs at once. If you have reached this limit, all other DVRs will have to wait until the others have completed their viewing or until you have stopped the stream to one of the other three DVRs.

Video has just begun recording

While this is rarely an issue, a video must have recorded a minimum of 45 seconds to begin streaming. Usually this happens when other activity is slowing your network speed. Wait a minute or two, and try again.

Also see I am getting the error 'not on your account' for more troubleshooting information.

Some copy-protected videos cannot be streamed

You cannot stream some copy-protected videos due to limitations the provider has imposed. Examples of this would be:

Amazon Instant Viewing rentals

At this time, there are no known limitations on cable or over-the-air recordings.
