Revolution - SE02E02 -"There Will Be Blood"

I guess Aaron thinks he knows what's going on with his "revival"?

Looks like what happened in the 6 months after the power went off again is going to be revealed in little, short flashbacks. What made the computers crash? Looks like whatever Aaron was doing has turned off The Tower's power as well.

What's going on with Charlie and Monroe?

And, we can't complain this season about how clean and tidy everyone is, now can we?

Discussion?

Or whatever whoever was trying to stop Aaron from doing what he was doing was doing...

How far into the future is this show set if a guy Adam Beach's age doesn't remember Walker, Texas Ranger?

Season 1 starts 15 years after the blackout. So even if you go from present day that would be 2027

Much better than the season premier.

Loved Aaron's "nod" to zombies.

I almost get the feeling that the computer was trying to protect itself...Terminator style.

And graphic. Previously, you would see the blood spurts from all the sword fights on a show like Spartacus on Starz. But, not on a broadcast show on in the kiddie hour.

Apparently the writers do too.

Another season and I still hate Charlie.

Anyone able to read the wax sealed note sent to the US Government lady? Was it written in Arabic?

Looked like Arabic to me. Also the seal looked like the pyramid on the back of the $1 bill.

They were arabic letters strung together as gibberish as far as I could tell.

I don't think it was Farsi, either. It was frustrating. The handwriting was excellent, so that wasn't the problem. The words LOOKED right, but they were not real words.

And dark. We are out. This season has gone in a completely different direction with the violence and just overall dark tone. It's less about life without the power being off and more about how they can write sadistic characters in and see some graphic violence. What does the new guy (Titus or whatever his name is) have to do with anything other than he is a psycho?

I get a Lost vibe now with the lightning bugs and dead people coming back. I fully expect that they will now introduce a lot of new sci-fi mysteries that they never intend to answer. And then just say it was never about the mystery, but the journey of the characters.

It's odd. I feel like the show has improved, but I also feel more lost than ever before. Like I didn't retain important information from the prior season, and it's making it difficult to follow the show now. I feel like I don't understand the characters' motives or relationships any more. I don't know who is bad, who is good, who likes whom, or who is against whom. I feel like I've lost the narrative thread. Once that happens, I often give up within a few episodes. And yet I feel like the writing is sharper than it had been, so I want to try to stick with it.

Everything is realigning apparently. In the previously on segments, they showed the little device that seems to control the nanites, so I assume Rachel put it into Aaron's chest, but they haven't shown her do it. Whoever that guy was keeping his wife alive, he sure was creepy. Why would ANYONE follow him?

...and apparently ratings in a key demo were barely half what they were last year...bye, bye, Revolution -- "Season 2 debut attracted less than half the young-adult viewers of last fall's premiere, and it just hit a new series low this week."
