Shameless S04E10 "Liver? I Hardly Know Her" OAD 2014-03-23 ***spoilers***

At the open I was literally moaning, "No! Fiona! No!"

How about where Lip was at the "This is what you missed..."

Even Mickey knows that Ian is on something.

"I saw it in a movie. It was some dark sh!"

Now Bonnie and Carl will appear in a store surveillance video. AWWWWWwwwww...

Frank just gave his kidney to verify an urban legend.

It was enough with the "Frank is dead." No he isn't! crap. They went to the well, what? 6 times?

"I need more pills..."

How about the ugly barfly guy being the marrying man?

It looks like I called it wrong with the payoff to Kevin's gun deal.

"Which one is which? I thought I knew."

Only two episodes left in the season!

He just had a liver transplant.
"How long ago?"
- "About 20 minutes."
"What hospital?"
- "In there."
"It was in a warehouse!"

This is a show that I have to watch live! I just can't wait!

I can't believe I did not see the kidney theft coming. My jaw just dropped with laughter. I couldn't be more thrilled oops I mean ...

The thing is with transplants you have to on top about taking your rejection meds. As my wife can attest how expensive they are so the whole insurance thing I am sure will be glossed over. I really thought the backyard transplant was going to make sense since I never thought insurance would pay for it.

I wonder if they stole kidneys from both frank and the supposed donor!

I am really liking this season but the Frank story line is getting old. I am glad that it looks to finally be over. I never for one second believed he was going to die so that just made that story line uninteresting to me.

I figured they would've scammed Sheila out of the $26,000 by just opening Frank up, pretending to do a transplant, then suturing him back together. I didn't see the kidney theft coming. Then again, he's open...why not take something for the black market - and something that won't kill him?!? :-P

I really hope nothing happens to Kevin. I love his stupidity, but the gun thing is making me nervous - especially now that he's messing with Mickey (who has some seriously funny lines, btw).

Fiona is a disaster, but it's good to see her be a little bit human (even if way more extreme than I'd ever consider).

I have gone almost the whole season thinking this was the series finale season, but I'm so glad it's not. There are too many loose ends to wrap up. And I'd miss he Gallaghers too much. :-)

I knew it was an impossible hope, but I was really hoping they'd divert from the UK series and kill off Frank. The character sucks in this version. No redeeming values whatsoever. He's just a criminal leech. That's generally why I hate what they've done "Americanizing" the UK series... they've taken what should be a group you have compassion for that is trying to get by with the cards they've been dealt in life and turned them into hard-core mostly selfish criminal delinquents. There's a couple characters I enjoy seeing what they're doing with, but overall there's just so much lightweight, easy/contrived choices getting made by writers who've got no clue about the character subtleties and their redeeming values found in the original series.

I thought something was up when the "surgeon" left with a cooler.

Oh Fiona...not going to pass a drug test now. Looks like jail for Fi.

Great 180 on Lip and a very well acted scene with him forgiving her.

My guess for Ian is that he is bi-polar. First because Monica is and second because I have a bi-polar sister and when the meds are not working they sound exactly alike.

Little Carl and Bonnie...Carl has to break his cherry getting arrested sometime. Really sad about Bonnie's family and the van.

Yes! The thing I like about this show it can be funny at times, disgusting at times and also touching at times. This was a very touching scene!!

I've said it before but I think this season is one of, if not the, best they have ever done. Lots of bad things happening but it makes for a very interesting season!!!

To me this is all John Wells doing. Every show he has been show runner on has had this emotional connection. ER, Southland, West Wing.

Ian has got to be on something. At first I thought he was doing meth but now I am not so sure.

You'd think that if Ian was doing drugs in some form that Mickey would know.

I noticed that too and figured right away he had taken a kidney. Although the incision being on the wrong side was weird. You have two kidneys so he could have taken the one on the same side as the liver so at least the wound matched up and made it less suspicious. I mean at the beginning he specifically told them he was going to make an incision on the right so why would he suddenly take the kidney on the left? Plus when you have real kidney surgery don't they typically cut into your back/side?

I am a kidney donor and they took it caesarian style. Of course they blew up my abdomen and did it arthroscopic style. I don't think butchers would take the time.

Agreed 1000%

My father just had a kidney transplant with a close friend of the family donating it. Words can't describe how awesome a person is to do that for someone.
