selling a tivo series 2 what do I need to do?

I am selling my Tivo series two with lifetime service, is there anything I need to do before shipping it out? I have deleted everything through the setup screen.

Thanks

Not really.

If you want to be extra kind, you could call up TiVo, tell them you are selling the Series 2, and you want to make things easier for the buyer.
You can ask TiVo to give you a confirmation number, that you give to the buyer. The buyer then uses this confirmation number when he receives the DVR and then calls TiVo to set up his own account (or add to his existing account if he already has one).

Other than that and performing a Clear & Delete everything (which you have already done), there really is nothing more to do.

Unplug it and put it in a box.
Anything more than that is just wasting your time because it's not necessary.

Based on what I'm currently going through, it may no longer be an optional kindness, but an absolute necessity if the buyer is ever going to get the unit on their account.

Nope. Used TiVos are for sale all over the place, even here on this forum.
