King and Maxwell - am I the only one watching?

I enjoyed the characters from the Baldacci books, so I tried the show. Not bad!

Case of the week plus a large story arc. Jon Tenney is perfect for this.

Yeah, I like this show a lot. I'm surprised at how much I like it. At first, I resisted, but I've just surrendered to it. The ONLY reason I watch The Dome first is because there are Dome threads here.

Tenney is great, as is Romijn. And they make a great team. But poor Opie...getting brutally beaten to death in prison really messed him up.

I'm watching. Ryan Hurst is great as Edgar. Wish I could take a punch like King, and brush it off as easily as he does.

I'm watching too. I'm enjoying it.

I'm interested to see where they take the conspiracy angle of it. Just hope it doesn't turn into something that overtakes the show.

The book the first was based on was a long book, I think they covered 10% of the book making the show.

I'm enjoying it so far

We love Edgar. He is perfect. I wonder what else he has done?

Also, did you notice the guy who liked to "search" Maxwell? Felt all over her legs, etc. It was her real husband. It was great.

His other big role was Opie, the brutish gang enforcer on Sons of Anarchy.

Slightly different role...

There is the internet. I haven't wondered about anything in about 30 years

I believe he was the QB in "Remember the Titans".

I remember Ryan Hurst first from a show called "Wanted", which aired back in 2005 on TNT - I really liked it, but alas, not many people must have as it only lasted one season.

http://www.tv.com/shows/wanted/

I am watching and enjoying King & Maxwell. Not the top of my list by far, but they don't pile up too much on my DVR either.

I watched a couple, it was on the bubble. But maybe I will watch the ones I have recorded, and see if I keep it, since it seems like others are liking it too.

Wasn't he the LB who was paralyzed in a car accident?

I agree...but what is the Internet? Next thing you will tell me is that Google is my friend and if it is on the Internet it must be true!

Now that I think about it, you are correct. The QB was the CA dude "sunshine".

Liking the show, but alas, I don't like Edgar.

When I saw him in the first episode, I told my wife that I hope he doesn't become a regular character - and of course, he did.

Not sure why so many shows seem to think they need that one "unusual" character.

I don't mind an unusual character, but Edgar is such a Marty Stu -- he is able to instantly hack any computer and retrieve any information that is desired in 60 seconds. That type of character is highly annoying. It is just a crutch for the writers.

I like Edgar. I also like Benny, the lady forger played by Dichen Lachman.

Spoiler from July 22 episode:
Spoiler:
And it looks like Benny has a thing for Edgar. Now THAT's an odd couple.

(Dichen is half-Australian, half-Tibetan, which accounts for her exotic look and accent.)

Unrealistic? Certainly. But it keeps the story going.

I hope that this show doesn't turn into Leverage 2.0. I'm ok with bringing in people once in a while, but don't want to have a crew in every single episode.

Just watched the season finale, and I hope the show returns.

On that note, the episode number was 108. What kind of season (or half-season) has 8 episodes?

It had ten episodes, which is not unheard-of for cable shows. The finalé was 109; the first episode was 100.

Don't know. But my queue includes episode 10. We've only gotten through the first five though.

I try to watch this show but it just puts me to sleep. (Warehouse 13 did the same thing) The lead woman is pretty hot, wish they would use that a little.

I watched it accidentally a few weeks ago (had no idea it was even on) and actually enjoyed it. Got hooked ever since.

I really enjoy the interaction between Benny and Edgar, though Edgar seems a bit overdone.
