Big Brother 07-24-2013

I was surprised they kept the MVP a secret and I'm glad I did. They don't know what to think although Helen was pretty much spot on in her guess.

The one thing I took from this show is that Elissa is a sore loser.

The speculation about Elissa self-nominating as MVP... I just can't see the upside to that as a strategic move. There's just way too much risk that you or an ally won't win veto and it will leave you on the block. So why were they so convinced that's what happened? Paranoia I guess.

It was also funny how spot-on Helen's guess was about the twist. Once Elissa came off the block and the next highest America MVP vote getter was going up I just knew it would be GM. But I hope she stays for some entertainment value.

Love to see the how start to implode and get all paranoid about things. Makes for a more entertaining hour.

Man, that 24 hour solitary deal would have just about broken me had I been in there doing it. YIKES!

Well my feed dropped for about 10-13 minutes right after Elissa won Veto. It was a bit frustrating but so is watching this show at times lol

Elissa is never going to be able to fathom that America wants her off the show, they voted for me MVP for several weeks why would they want me voted off? Well Elissa you showed last night the exact reason why they wanted you gone, your a sore loser. Big props to her getting veto though because she saved herself and that's a huge part of this game.

I was glad to see another alliance starting to form - things always get more interesting when some unlikely alliances form. The twist of MVP this season has done nothing but hampered the game as a whole. It made for a couple very strong players to get voted out early in the game. Some of the remaining contestants maybe socially good at the game lack the mental skills to carry you through to the end.

I think we can all guess that Aaryn will get the boot this week but I could be way off.

I can't understand Judd most of the time, he mumbles and slurs so badly. And I hope GM gets the boot this week and has to resort to porn in the outside world. She's skilled.

Anyone want to guess how america voted for MVP?

I think with a big gap between 2 and 3

Aaryn
katelyn
Ellisa
GM

It really confused the house and that's always a good thing.

There's also the possibility that Elissa just got the most votes because her fans got confused and thought they were voting for her to be MVP again and not realized that it would nominate her.

I was so hoping Amanda was 4th as I find her more annoying than GM outside of the Nick thing.

I said the same thing to my wife, considering where they are alleged to come from I can believe that as well.

elissa definitely lost a few regular viewers after her little tantrum, but i don't think it will bother any rachel followers. it reveals a lot about her character, after having special power for so long, to throw her fit her first week without it.

with rachel fans padding the "vote", and zero results posted on the website, why wonder? it's a sham, just a tool producers use to manipulate the house and entertain viewers, not a fair election. it's still fun to watch!

Because within the parameters of what they know/been told (America picks an MVP, they pick a nominee,) nobody claimed to be the MVP, and Elissa winning all 3 so far, it's reasonable to think she'd win the 4th.

That and the fact that they have nothing to speculate, and I'm sure DR fed the paranoia, it makes perfect sense that they'd think that.

And Elissa is such a cry baby. I hate it when people say "You should vote me off. I want to go home." That is such a lame thing to say. You want to go home? Walk out the door. Nobody is stopping you.

And Elissa did something I never thought would happen, I actually felt bad for Gina Marie. When GM went to give the fake hug, Elissa totally dissed her. That's just petty and poor gamemanship.

I kinda liked Elissa a bit after the first couple of shows. Last night she took a huge step back IMO. Especially the things she said to Amanda. Although that bathing suit wasn't very flattering.
She was undeniably rude and the worst thing is she knew it.

Apparently the producers do stop them from doing that. There has been talk in the live feeds threads in the past about housemates wanting to leave and being talked out of it by the producers. To avoid any spoilers (of past instances), I'm not going to say when or who was involved.

Or you could just use the spoiler tags.

If you're going to talk about past seasons, I think it's fine to just tell us without using the spoiler tags.

I thought the same but if katelyn and Aaron were really the top two, I can see Elissa being 3. Rachael was popular but she was also disliked by a lot of people.

You see this a lot from the more unstable contestants on these reality shows. I compare it to suicide by cop. They want to die but they're too chicken to do it themselves.

I wonder if the producers realized we they could evict the 6th choice from the viewers.

1 - HH
2 - HH nominee
3 - HH nominee
4 - Goes up as MVP nominee
5 - wins veto, vetoes #5
6- Goes up as replacement nom.

I think it's more probable that people didn't realize that the voting had changed and thought they were still voting for MVP.

Rachel's Twitter stream confirms this. A ton of people hadn't watched BB yet, so they didn't know the twist, yet they voted anyway.

I think Elissa got the vote because the Rachel haters were able to consolidate their vote this time. They all knew who to vote for. Whereas her supporters votes may have been divided. It's just the opposite of what got Elissa the MVP the first 3 times.

I know it sounds stupid, but I did this. (not for Elissa) I just went ahead and voted before I watched the previous episode and purposely didn't look at anything on the website because I didn't want to spoil the results from the night before. Plus, some of the Rachael fans may not even be watching the show. Then add in the Rachael haters. It's possible Elissa was really number 1.

I knew there was something I had to say about this episode. I actually don't really get your and her opinion about that. Yeah, the fringe or whatever looked kind of weird, but I think she looked good in a 1 piece swimsuit. There *can* be cases of showing too much.
