Sean Saves the World cancelled

NBC has stopped production on the show with 14 of 18 episodes completed and 12 episodes aired.
I liked the show good enough to watch it every week, but I certainly won't miss it.

I liked it too. Sean Hayes is very likeable and I no longer dislike the boss as much as originally.

Megan Hilty is always worth watching, too.

So bummed. I love Sean Hayes and I really liked Linda Lavin as his caustic mother. But, alas, I figured this would happen.

Good. I was forced to watch this talentless moron this last fall for 2 entire cross country flights as he mugged his way through unfunny skits as the MC for the network's new shows. I'm surprised it took this long.

Odd, every plane I've ever been on had a little button that allowed one to turn the tv off or change the channel. Is this some new money saving thing from Ryan Air or something?

This was a show I originally didn't care for. For some reason, I stuck with it, and it really grew on me. While it's not going to be missed like Happy Endings or Go On, it was fun to watch.

NBC has a mess on their hands. MJFox's show is just as bad, but they committed to showing all of them. NBC really needs a couple of hits. Even modest hits would help.

The only chance they have is to put a new show on after the Voice. That seems to be the only place now where they can successfully launch a new show.

you're right - i never made it through the pilot of either show, and had big hopes i would like both. my biggest fear - dick wolf will be hired to produce 2 or 3 more chicago fire or police dramas...

+1

same exact thing 4 me - it started off slow but they seem to have found their groove.
groundbreaking must see TV? no. But still better than some other sitcoms.

the cast was great
Sean, Linda Lavin, Megan Hilty and the supporting players

I liked this show too. Gave it a few episodes, and ya, it got it's groove.

Yup, they said they would burn off the last episodes made at an undetermined time after the Olympics.

While I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of MJFox's show, I have definitely kept recording it and will watch the ones I've recorded eventually. I think I watched one full Sean saves the World.

You haven't travelled much. American Airlines, Delta and most US carriers, but not all, show ONE program and do not have individual TVs like Virgin Airways.

Now that you mention it, you are right. My active travel days were quite long ago now. I apologize for my admitted snarkiness.

Thanks. I will keep the series active then. Don't mind watching burn off comedies.

My favorite part of the show is the boss (Tom Lennon). I know he has done a lot of other things but I first became aware of him when he was a replacement voice for Geoff the robot skeleton on Craig Ferguson's show. I thought he was hilarious voicing Geoff as Khloe Banderas, the least famous brother of Antonio Banderas. YouTube has some clips.

Can't say I'm surprised. I couldn't even make it through the first episode.

Sean Hayes is just so... annoying (nicest word I could think of ATM).
If he weren't so flamboyant, I might have been able to tolerate this show.

Thing is MJF has a lot more stroke and most likely he said he'd go on and make the show as long as NBC is fully committed for a whole season (maybe even 2??). So they bowed to his wishes and will just keep running it no matter if anyone is or isn't watching it.

As Astrohip stated, NBC has committed themselves to airing all episodes of the MJF Show and they bought a whole 22 episode season.

The show grew on me slowly. I enjoyed it more each week.

I have just recently started DVR'ing Craig Ferguson. Best show on late night. The robot cracks me up almost as much as Craig does. He could host his own show and be pretty funny! I'll have to watch the clips you linked to.
