Blacklist: "Milton Bobbit" 3/31/2014 - SPOILERS

Well, looks like things are getting more tense around the "Keen" household. Lots of backstabbing and roughing up of folks. Things are finally getting a bit more exciting.

As for the Milton story, it was pretty "Meh" in my opinion. And in typical fashion, it was easily wrapped up with the "just in the nick of time" style.

I like Lizzie better now that she's more, shall we say, proactive. Old mopey Lizzie was kinda dull.

As always, Spader was great. I especially liked the interrogation scenes.

I agree that the "Blacklister of the Week" stories are starting to just get in the way of the fun stuff. It's better when they tie into the big picture more.

I have the feeling that an epic marital squabble is brewing for the Keens.

I am not a spy, a double agent, or any other kind of agent. (I figured I would state the obvious.) But I am very curious about Berlin, and how scary the people there must be if someone would jump out of a window with their hands cuffed behind their back rather than discuss Berlin. And then I have to remember what curiosity does to the cat.

We still don't know if "Berlin" refers to the city, or is a code word for a person, operation, organization, or other place.

In fact, from the way they rather heavy-handedly assumed it was the city on the show, I assume it isn't.

I think "Berlin" refers to the next big baddie,<spoiler alert> A. Dolph Hipler.

Spoiler:

The way the people working for Berlin talk about Berlin you can assume they are not talking about the city.

I mean, why would a German city hire people to buddy up to Lizzy in order to get to Reddington? Doesn't make any sense whatsoever!

Why would Washington raise or lower your taxes?

I don't get the suicide. At the point he decided he was going to die, why not yell help and be shot? Why not rush them, anything except suicide. Crazy.

So you're thinking that the German government is behind it?

I just Googled for it and apparently Berlin does have a BND headquarter, hmmm.

I kinda hope it's something more ominous than some government agency!

It could be anything with an office in Berlin.

Of course, but I doubt it's related to any government.

So do I. Governments, however, aren't the only things that have offices. I happen to have one myself (although not in Berlin, so you can remove me from your list of suspects).

Well did she have that whole crime spree once. So maybe becoming a master spy isn't such a big leap.

(Okay, pretentious video reference ("No More Words") - Sigh I am getting old, I remember seeing that on MTV, when it was really MTV...)

Washington would just fly over Red with a drone and be done. Berlin is taking the long way around.

I think he was hoping that by killing himself they no longer had a reason to hurt his mother. If he tried anything else and failed to get away they would hurt his mother to get him to talk.

Or he could have, you know, talked...unless he really did not know anything more (which seems unlikely, since he did not tell them about Berlin, they had to overhear the codename)

But if he talked and Berlin found out he talked which with as scared of them as he seemed i think they would have find out then the berlin people would hurt/kill his mother. I think he figured his best chance of his mother not getting hurt was to make sure he died when he did.
