Anyone try the new 'hybrid' 2TB drives in an S3?

There are new 'hybrid' 2TB drives available from Seagate (and I suppose others) that have huge 'SSD' caches, supposedly speeding things up considerably. Newegg currently has one for $99.

Has anyone used one of these in the S3 OLED model and noticed any improvements?

Specifically, I'd like for the guide and menus to load faster (a LOT faster), and Season Passes to register more quickly.

Playback/record performance is just fine as is.

I think speed is the TiVo hardware limitation not the hard drive, I got a Roamio +, used the same hard drive type as I was using in my TP and got a way faster speed.

There are many threads on this- does not work any faster and is a great way to wear these drives out quickly.

Interesting. Thanks. I did a search on hybrid drives, and nothing pertinent came up...
