AOTS / Screen Savers

Anyone see the last episode of AOTS? Neat thing at the end with Leo Laporte and Patrick Norton.

Was this replayed somewhere? Wasn't the last episode back in 2005?

Screen Savers turned into Attack of the Show. It was really a completely different show though.

I think I'd heard Leo mention he was going to be involved with the last episode. I hadn't heard anything else about it until this thread. I have DirecTV, so I don't have G4 and couldn't watch it anyway. I assume it can be found on the internet somewhere.

I miss Tech TV, especially The Screen Savers and Call for Help.

I subscribe to those shows. As a matter of fact, I'm listening to Security Now at this moment.

The Tech Guy is a call-in show for grandmas who don't know what an ethernet cable is and what to do with it. There are other, better shows on twit.tv.

Well, he mentioned missing Call for Help. That was the closest show I could think of.

I have a SP for the show but I think missed it due to a Comcast/Tribune Media Services guide data/3 hour shift problem that's been going on for a little while. My SP of AOTS ends up picking up 2 eps of Cops that airs 3 hours after AOTS.

I reported the guide data prob to Tivo on ~1/19.

Unfortunately, I don't think I ever had a subscription to a cable/satellite lineup w/Tech TV when Leo was host of The Screen Savers. I missed out, I think.

Heh, I don't watch G4 anymore once the screensavers ended and the crew split up. Leo's on TWiT, Patrick is somewhere else, etc. It's just a horrible mess now.

Well G4 isn't going to be around much longer anyway. Their going to be rebranding it as the Esquire channel.

Loved TechTV, hated Comcast for killing it and replacing it with empty drivel. I enjoyed not viewing G4 and will enjoy not watching the Esquire Channel too!

Agreed. I would love it if someone would bring back a technology oriented channel.

And no, I will not be watching the Esquire Channel either. I have no need for a "man" equivalent of Oxygen.

Yeah, once Comcast decided to ruin TechTV into G4TV, I quit watching it. It just became so unwatchable, plus the crew splitting up didn't help.

To be honest, I haven't actually dialed in that channel in years. I can't even remember what channel it's on here!

I'm gonna miss seeing the beautiful Candace Bailey every day...other than that, I'll also miss some of the other AOTS segments like "The Feed", "Gadget Pron", etc---it was a good way to keep up with what's going on in technology, games, etc...

The same with me. Honestly, it's been so long that if I didn't already know it was him, I wouldn't have even recognized Patrick Norton. It's been a long time.
