My Annual "Who's got the best Fall Season TV Grid" request

OK, who's got a good one of these. With Parenthood starting up next week, the season is upon us!

Here's mine. I color-code it for personal use, but this is the un-annotated version.

This year I will be trying the fewest new shows ever.

Pretty slim pickings.

The guides are neat, but I personally like using http://www.pogdesign.co.uk/cat/ both with an account and without and account. Looking at the site without an account you can see all the start dates for new seasons of shows in green and the last episode in red. The site isn't perfect but it is very helpful.

Interesting site. I use FutonCritic to keep track of the shows I watch (not as a grid, as an episode/airing guide), but this site has some cool features.

Off to play... thanks!

That's a pretty cool site, however the dates are all off (at least when I used it). It says it goes Mon-Sun however I see Sunday shows on Mon and etc... and the dates are all 1 day off when viewing the calendar.

Still a cool site.. If they fixed it it would be a winner.

You can adjust your settings. I changed it to USA-Central time, with a Sunday start calendar, and it's perfecto.

I already entered the shows I watch. I like the custom calendar it creates.

I stand corrected... I didn't set my Timezone, However setting it to PST still had issues. I switched to Eastern time and it showed the correct times.

When things kick in Sunday's will be very busy: the Fox animation lineup, Dexter and Homeland on Showtime, 666 Park Ave. on ABC, and The Walking Dead on AMC. Obvioulsy, some shows will be viewed later in the week.

I have a grid that I've made as well, but I can't figure out how to upload it right now from this computer. Anyway, based on previous years, I'm guessing it's pretty similar to DPR's.

I have seen this happen to me sometimes and I would just open it with different web browser and everything would be fine.

This year will be easy to setup due to Prime Time Anytime on my new Hopper. And I don't have to watch AMC or NBC anymore thanks to DISH!

[Thread bump/thread drift warning]
Rather than start a new thread, I thought I'd ask here...

I've been using pogdesign for several months, great site. I like the Today button, that shows you just what you have airing today. Especially on a mobile browser, it gives a succinct display of today's shows.

Except it's quit working. For the last few weeks, when I click Today, I get a blank page. The monthly view has my shows, including what's airing today. But when I click Today... bubke.

Anyone else? Works, doesn't work?

I've never used the "today" button, but it didn't work when I tried it for you

I have been loving the pogdesign calendar, though. A big "thanks" to whoever it was that pointed me in that direction. It was invaluable during the early weeks of the season when there was so very much new content.

What? How did I miss showing off my grid here back at the start of fall.

Here is mine, although I have already removed the shows from it that were cancelled or that I gave up watching:

Looks like you have a boy TiVo and a girl TiVo.

Just the colors I picked to distinguish each TiVo. No real significance other than they were contrast-y and light enough that the black text showed up well on top of them. Google Docs has them as "custom" colors now, but I am pretty sure that when I made the original grid 2+ years ago, they were both colors in the default background color drop down that I picked out... I wouldn't have bothered to actually create custom colors for this.

Cool. I'm too lazy to actually MAKE a grid. I take one of the pre-published grids that people post here, and I color code too. I print them out and mark with a highlighter

Funny, I think I have less conflicts this year than ever, so I never even set up a lot of the new stuff on my second DVR. Actually, thinking about it, I may be down to only 3 new shows that I still record, The Neighbors, Revolution and The Last Resort (so soon to be 2), so there was minimal changes to either of the DVRs this year

I keep certain networks on certain TiVos, mostly to make sure the disk space gets balanced but also because so many shows run over these days... that way most of the time I have the shows on the same TiVo so I can go watch the last 15s or however much (assuming I'm also recording the next show).

My second DVR is more of a backup for my first as we primarily watch one TV over the other main TV. So if there's a conflict, the shows that "look" better go on the DVR on the bigger TV. We can play shows from on DVR through the other DVR through our network, but it's flaky sometimes, so we'll usually take a night to sit in the other room and marathon those shows that we have on DVR #2. Right now, I think the only shows that wind up recording on DVR #2 only are Whitney, 30 Rock, and Up All Night. None of which are must view immediately.

Well, I do. My main TiVo is named TiVo HD guy and the older one in the other room is TiVo slave girl.

Ah, makes sense.

We only have one TV, so the TiVos are both right there.
