Fringe 9/28/12

Um HOLY CRAP

That was great.
The last scene with Walter listening to Yazoo and the single flower growing in the asphalt.

*sigh* only 12 left.

I am SO GLAD Fringe is back. Great episode. I teared up when Olivia met Etta.

If this is where they're going for this season COUNT ME IN!
They have raised their geek flag in a big way and it looks like they're swinging for the fence, I give them a ton of credit for trying.

The last time they did this had them continuing on with an awesome S2

I got dust in my eye.

And the scene with Walter getting interrogated? John Noble is such an asset to this show.

I used the 5 cent MP3 coupon posted over on the Amazon thread to buy the Yazoo song this morning.

I've been a Yazoo fan since the early 80's. I wonder how many people bought some of their music after last night.

I recognized the singer, but not the song, from several mix tapes I'd made in high school. Couldn't have told you her name (Alison Moyet) until I looked it up last night.

Both of their albums are really good. They also released a live album from a reunion tour in 2008.

Why does John Noble not have an Emmy?
The man is a fantastic actor.

The Fringe team taking down these obnoxious Observers over the next twelve episodes will be a very enjoyable experience. And finding Georgina Haig to be Etta is a miracle of modern casting. Beautiful, an amazing actress, and so physically right for the part it seems unfair. After the finale, it will be perfect timing for the pilot season. Someone smart will nab her as a lead.

I put together a Hitler parody about this using the standard clip From Downfall (Der Untergang) on this very topic:

Hitler Learns John Noble Overlooked for Emmy
You need to upgrade your Flash Player
that has been fairly well received by both Fringe Fans as well as people involved in the production. Check it out, you might like it too.

I've been asking myself this very thing(and been dumbfounded) every year that Fringe has been in existence. John Noble should hold any and every award he qualifies for. The man is one of the most remarkable, enjoyable, talented, actors of all time. (not just for Fringe but elsewhere too)

I forgot to set up my season pass!

And Fox won't let me watch it for 8 days after air date.
BIH Fox!

I heard that and said "hey! I have that CD!" and realized I had never ripped it into itunes, I have since remedied that and it's now in my iEcosystem.

You guys delete the season pass between seasons? Is there some benefit to doing that?

I only cancel a season pass when the show is canceled.

And sometimes not even then - just in case some other network might pick it up...

I enjoyed the episode on Friday night. Afterwards I went back and watched the episode from last season that took place in 2036.

And it made me wonder if we will see Desmond....err I mean Simon again.

Was Walter dreaming at the end? I otherwise can't explain how that CD player had electricity...

Didn't the cars have solar panel conversions? Or am I mixing it up with the movie Looper that I saw this weekend?

I don't know, she has some dumb smirk on her face the whole time, like she's hiding some secret.

Funny you should say that. A couple of times I looked at her and said "I hope she's really their daughter". Something in her facial expression made me think something was off.
