Grimm not showing until March 2013

Are they trying to get rid of Grimm by not having a new episode until 2013?

Bummer. I had never seen the show 'til about 2 weeks ago when I shoved them all into a marathon. Really like it.

Well, at this point most shows won't have new episodes until 2013.

March, however, is a different kettle of fish. I wonder what's up with that?

I'm fine with the networks going to some sort of cable model. Grimm 2.0 showed 12 episodes between Aug-Nov. Then Grimm 2.5 airs another 10 episodes between Mar-May. Why is it okay to wait 12 months between seasons of Game of Thrones but not wait 3 months between episodes of Grimm?

I guess the difference is a lot of these cable seasons are either self-contained or it's made clear there'll be a small or even big break in between. I didn't watch the more famous ones who had big hiatuses (Sopranos, Mad Men, Breaking Bad) but I believe their fans knew when the season finale was coming and that it'd be few months or longer until the next one starts.

I don't remember any promos leading up to this episode saying it was the "winter finale for Grimm" or at its conclusion saying "Grimm returns in March". It just had a card at the end that said "To be continued... (Sorry)". This thread is actually the first I'm hearing the show won't resume until March.

Not that it really matters. I'm loving this show and this season but I've got tons of other recordings piled up with barely any time to catch up on them. Just pointing out what I see as the difference and how frustrating it could be if this was my go-to show for the season. It was building up a lot of momentum for me and this could've let the air out of the tires.

I can see that point. I think the show did say something about seeing you in 2013, but that might have been a promo after the show was over.

I knew about this before I watched the winter finale (I don't remember if I read it here or elsewhere).

Made me chuckle when (Sorry) appeared after the 'To Be Continued'.
