yet another win for Modern Family.

It's almost the only comedy that gets nominations on these acting categories

and now a directing award.

Maybe they should just give all the awards to that show and everyone can go home early.

I agree. They should really just skip the show and just hand all the awards to the cast of Modern Family.

Overall I am not crazy about the winners so far. Jon Cryer? Come on. Julia Louis Dreyfus is an old pro and funny, but Poehler and Dunham at least were better choices. Eric Stonestreet AGAIN? When will the Emmys realize that Cam hasn't been funny for at least a season now?

I tried to watch Homeland and just couldn't get into it. But, looks like it's going to win a lot of awards tonight.

How is it Damien Lewis was not nominated for Band of Brothers? How is this his first nomination?

I don't watch it either, but hear it's great. I became a big fan of Damian Lewis after Band Of Brothers, so I am happy to see him win. Of course, I would have been happier with Bryan Cranston or John Hamm winning, since I watch and love both of their shows.

Homeland is right up there with Breaking Bad. I really can't decide which show is better. They are both fantastic and both deserve lots of awards.

So glad to see Aaron Paul win another one.

Haven't seen Homeland yet either, but everything I've read suggests we should find no disappointment in any awards it wins. And it's having a very good night so far.

Claire Danes as best actress apparently was the shoo-in of the night. Hers seems to be regarded as the best performance on TV, period, this past season.

I was surprised to see Damian Lewis win over Bryan Cranston. Both of them have done a stellar job on their respective shows.

Is it my imagine or did the faces of the losers really seem like they were unhappy?

Nobody was more deserving that Claire Danes tonight. I can't wait for the return of Homeland next Sunday.

Homeland is an amazing show with amazing actoring and writing.

The only surprise is that Mandy Patamkin was NOT nominated.

So true. And that's how I felt about Dabney Coleman in Boardwalk Empire.

oy... This Mini-Series/Movies stuff is taking for ever.

The only one I saw was the one on Sarah Palin.

American Horror story was also fantastic and Jessica Lange was the best thing about it (Connie Britton was a close second). I still don't know how I feel about it being in the mini series category but the show is kinda unique.

I'm ready to lead the Modern Family backlash. It's a good show, but kind of uneven now and not the best comedy of last season.

Is it weird that they did the Drama first, then comedy? Or do they always do that?

I think it switches each year.

What I thought was weird was that we got clips of the drama actresses as their nominations were announced, but no other acting category got clips.

It sure wasn't great last season, but I think it was the best of the nominees. Now we could talk about Parks and Recreation not even getting a nomination...
